In the 08 primaries Duncan Hunter held 90+% on the Free Republic poll which remained on the top page for months. He turned out to be a 1%er. And only a handful here learned from history.

Whenever I bring up a republican candidate, my son asks me one question: “Is he/she going to run all over the world bowing to Muslims and dictators?”
If the answer is no, he says, “OK, I can vote for that.”
Mitt Romney would be hard for me, though.

HAHAHAHA!
You'll see. I personally know two people who never voted before that came out to vote in '08 just because of her. They went with me to 2 Palin rallies. You have no idea how deep Palin's support is out here in flyover country.
We still have the electoral college, you know. Big cities therefore can't totally control Presidential elections. Not yet, at least. She has a shot.
