Mixed Views as Sarah Palin Leaves India
Forbes ^ | March 20, 2011 | Kenneth Rapoza

Posted on 03/20/2011 8:21:36 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Sarah Palin left India on Sunday and word on the street is that she is “very smart” and “I’d go to see her speak anywhere” or…”she is very dumb” and “no one cares about Sarah Palin,” according to the Youtube page of India Reloaded, here, interviewing the locals as Palin lives Asia’s biggest democracy.

Palin praised India for its progress and called for stronger US and India ties. She was the Saturday evening dinner keynote speaker at the India Today Conclave , a gathering of political and business leaders that took place in New Delhi Friday and Saturday.

During her address, Palin told the mostly Indian nationals in attendance that US and Indian ties run deep. “They are driven by free people and free markets and not just by political summits,” she said, according to India Today. She asserted that Indo-US relations were a bipartisan project that no longer depended on the occupant of the White House.

“Relations between India and the US are key to our world relations, regardless of who is president,” Palin said, adding, “America has long been famous for (its) rags-to-riches story. Today, India too has the same story. India is no longer a struggling economy.”

Palin was her also usua catch-phrasey self, with terms like “more decisiveness, less dithering”, and attacked the mainstream media, to a round of applause, according to people at the Conclave. Asked why her team lost the 2008 elections, she said it was because of the media, quickly clarifying that Barack Obama came better off as an “agent of change”.

I would like to think that if either Palin or Michele Bachmann became president that she would govern in much the same way that Margaret Thatcher did with England.

Peace through strength.

Sounds like a lot of conservatives and RINOs were in attendance.

Ok having read the rest of the article I take that back.. I think a slightly retarded monkey is smarter than this reporter...so I don't even want to compare Sarah to him...

But according to India Today, she reiterated once again that the time had come for a woman to become president of the US President.

Of all the 300 some million Americans Sarah Palin was asked to represent the USA by this group. Speaks for itself.

From the write up. It is clear the writer didn't listen to the speech. the fact that the writer had to go to youtube comments to get some nasty quotes tells anyone that wants to pay attention that Gov Palin hit a homerun.

they are sputtering trying to find something anything to slant the story negative.

Hell even the Times, NYT and WAPO had to admit Gov Palin did very well....

It has nothing to do with what Indian’s think of Palin, but I could vote for her as President with no hesitation.

Sorry “Pissant”.

If she were to decide not to run, that is OK too. She might find another position that she could be more effective in. That would be OK too.

Why comment on comments?

People don’t react to Mrs. Palin based on her (statements, beliefs, expression, presentation, etc.). They react to her based on his/her political agenda.

She may be the most true political divining rod in history:

Ask someone what he/she thinks about Mrs. Palin and the answer reveals his/her entire political thinking.

YouTube has a statistics button under the video to show where most viewers are from. That itself will give a clue as to whether the comments were made by Americans or by Indians.

If the author had to look at YouTube comments to compose this article, the credibility of the piece unavoidably takes a nose-dive.

...same way that Margaret Thatcher did with England ..Peace through strength.

Thatcher also permanently broke the political might of the British labor unions.

Sounds like Bill and Ted took some time off from their Excellent Adventure to do contribute to this article.

Totally.

And of course Obama never gets “mixed” reviews anywhere. He is universally loved. Just ask the press. They cover for him and kiss his backside up and down.

"attacked the mainstream media"
Always a crowd pleaser. Turnabout's fair play too.
