Over the last few weeks, many news outlets have reported that Donald Trump is considering running for the GOP presidential nomination. Already a few websites like www.drafttrump2012.com/ and shouldtrumprun.com have cropped up asking for support for him to run.
Last week, Trump attacked President Obama on the Sean Hannity show, calling him the "worst president ever," but now he's also attacked Mitt Romney, telling The Daily Beast that Romney doesn't have a chance at the Republican nomination
"He doesn't resonate, you know? Or he would have won last time," Trump told Daily Beast columnist and daughter of former GOP candidate, Meghan McCain. "I watched [Romney] make a speech, and it was all these little trivial statements."
This comes after the Deseret News reported earlier this month that Trump would not fair well against Romney in Utah. A Deseret News/KSL poll showed that Romney would get the votes of 83 percent of Utahns, compared to just 11 percent for Trump.
But Trump seems to have some support from Republican activists in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, according to an Associated Press article this week.....

BUt Romney got 90+% in 2008
why would he be less popular in 2012 ???
However the liberal Romney didnt get 90_% throughout the country and he will get even less there also this time...

I’m leaning towards Bachmann at this (early) point But I am open to Rand Paul, Sarah Palin or just about anyone else except Trump or Huntsman.
More importantly, Mitt Checkpants is an unelectable rino and will do nothing good for the country if he does get the nomination.
There will be a phase where the “establishment” candidates chew each others’ face off like when you put two grasshoppers together. They are sure one of them is due the nomination.
They are wrong this time and it won’t happen.
One of the theories circulating around here in New Jersey is that Trump is a stalking horse for Christie. Christie’s time is now; if he waits four more years, then he’ll have to slug it out with the GOP’s deep but mostly unseasoned bench, which will have gained more stature by then- -Kasich, McDonnell, Rubio, West, Pence, Ryan, Jindal, etc.
Must be an east-coast theory.
Christie is a big leap for NJ, but he’s way behind the rest of the had-enough-of-this-crap nation.
Hunger is a great equalizer.

The only problem with Mitt is that he can’t take Hell no for an answer. Trump is right if he was going to get nominated he would have gotten it last time. He got beat out by the absolute worst candidate in the history of America, Juan McStain.
Of course Mitt will get all the votes in Utah he’s Mormon.
I hope he’s right, and the best thing for America would be for you to get your wish.
