Ok I'm going to make a prediction (not that anyone cares).
Palin, Bachman, Cain, and Romney are going to run. Conservatives are going to panic because they are afraid their vote is going to splinter and give the nomination to Romney.
The GOP establishment likes like Rove are going to “save the day” and out will come governor goodhair Rick Perry.
He will get the nomination and beat bozo, and he will disappoint us, but at least keep America from going over the cliff.
I know its a lot to stomach, but I just have that feeling.
Or maybe I shouldn't eat Taco Bell anymore.

I know there are a lot of Palin fans out there, and, for good reason.

I’ve long maintained that she can’t win the general, and I still say that.

Remember Christine O’Donnell? Remember how some Freepers were so convinced that the polls were wrong, and that she was going to pull it off?

She lost by 17 pts, just like the polls said she would, no matter how many times otherwise very intelligent Freepers dissected polls, added their *own* special sauce, etc.

So will Palin, IMHO.

Search as hard as you want, but you’ll never find a post by me that said Christine O’Donnell or Sharon Whatshername would win. Neither one had been a popular governor, energy commissioner, mayor or best-selling author. Apples and oranges FRiend. If I can raise $2 million dollars by my lonesome, she’ll have all the funds she needs to get her message out.

I wouyld not dissmiss the above analysis off hand. Simply because it was written by a leftie. Yes there may be a lot of wishful thinking in there but I think our side has become too cocksure of itself and that is dangerous. We need to run as if we are losing badly and we need to win at any cost or we will lose in 2012.

I, for one, am tired of mediocrity. Palin wins. Her running is what’s making every RINO come out of the woodwork. It’ll take all of them attacking her to try and stop her. Dem’s won’t have to lift a finger. Pub’s are as scared of her as Dem’s because once she’s in she’s going to clean the govt house like no one’s business. The local, state and national govt class is what is killing this country, nothing else. They should be worried.

I think you are right, not that my opinion matters but I have several democrat friends who don't like Obama, and who seem willing to vote against him, but not if it's Palin. It's like a brick wall, they hit it and turn left... when Palin resigned per position as Governor she lost them 100%, no coming back.
