“.....if Sarah comes in and shows herself a clear cut social/moral conservative....”

for proof see “Trig.” He’s just one example of her walking the walk, that few, if any, can demostrate.

It shows that Sarah Palin chose the “life” option for her child. However, it does not mean that she is one that wants the law to protect life. A person could be “pro-choice” and in fact chose to have the child, but not of the thought that others cannot chose to end the child’s life. BTW - I think she IS pro-life, but that is just one thing to consider.

Where does she stand on the homosexual situation? Would she support a constitutional ammendment to define marraige? Would she work to reverse Obama’s repeal of DADT?

Other moral/social issues? How about pledging to ONLY nominate pro-life, pro 2nd Ammendment, pro-heterosexual, etc. Judges? So on.....

Perhaps you, EPB, and you other two “My Sarah, right or wrong, but still my Sarah” pilers on, and Sarah, could get John Kerry to explain, in intricate, double-directed, self-absolving detail, the brilliant nuance involved, up to now, in her campaign dance, the Alaska Arizona New BusTourshire Three Step. Comes a time when there’s just too much strategy, as Kerry may have once learned. But along SuziQ’s lines, if The Sarah runs, and if she’s nominated, I’m voting for her. She, or any other Republican, even RomneyCare, is t’e lesser evil, but ‘most any politician who’s big enough to be in the running for Pres is, as a nationally-prominent politician, probably evil. As it is said, anyone who actually wants to be president probably shouldn’t be allowed to be president.

I have no idea what you are saying in that convoluted rant of yours, and I suspect you don’t either.

“It shows that Sarah Palin chose the “life” option for her child. However, it does not mean that she is one that wants the law to protect life.”

For all intents and purposes I stopped reading your post right there.

Idle speculation of this type is disruptive and plays only to plant seeds of doubt, with the consequence of splittin the conservative vote to Obama’s advantage.

Sarah has stated many times as to her belief of the sanctity of life. She has not used any weasel words or by her actions, shown a willingness to see the other side’s viewpoint and support “Choice.”

Wheather or not, she, as President can singlehandedly overturn Roe v Wade, is a false premise, The President does not have that kind of power..... it is up to you, through your elected representatives in Congress, to make that kind of differance.

Don’t put the horse before the cart. Wait until after she is a candidate or then nominee. I sure that agents of the left will be all over these threads trying to make these things an issue within the Conservative and general publics mind in order to sow dissention in her natural base and then on into the mindless middle. None of these suppositions will work with me, I think that I have a pretty good handle on where Sarah is, and I fully trust and support her.

no idea what I’m saying?

I suspect you’re just playing dumb, but I’ll simplify:

You tout Sarah’s strategic advantage, but, as Kerry may have learned, sometimes there’s just too much strategy. Inactive politicians (candidates?) on the shelf sometimes have a limited shelf life; for many of us, Sarah’s approaching her limit.

The very fact that you equate Sarah Palin with JFnK eliminates you and your opinions from any serious consideration.

If Perry runs my bet will be on Perry/Palin.

That would be the drill baby drill dream team.

The fact that you don't know that JFnK lost the election because Swift Boat Veterans for Truth called him out because he had not and still has not released his official military record directly to the public says that you don't know jack-$hit.

On Free Republic, you Sarah-philes are sometimes said to be cliquey, inordinately condescending, and dismissive. Any idea why people might seem to occasionally get that impression?

“My Sarah, right or wrong, but still my Sarah” pilers on...

Actually, I may vote for Bachmann. But that's not the point.

FReepers get into pissing contests among ourselves between Bachmann and Palin, instead of directing our energies towards Obama, and more recently John Boehner - Mr. Sell Out. That crying, gutless, bastard should be fired, and I've told him so.

Quit worrying about what the “agents of the left” are going to do. Right now we are in a primary. I hope Sarah runs, because she brings zest and excitment with her. However, I plan on voting, in the primary, for the candidate that most closely represents my stance that moral/social issues are what are most important. Get them right, and the economy will follow. So, I’m looking for the candidate in the primary that will best represent this. So, I WANT TO SEE PLEDGES by candidates about judicial nominees on things like abortion, stopping the homosexualization of the military and America, etc. Disclaimer first - I AM NOT endorsing Bachman at this point, but she is quick to pledge to do things important to me. She has signed several pledges about abortion and traditional marraige and eliminating judicial activists. Will Sarah Palin do the same? I am hoping so.

IF someone is afraid to “commit” to a position in a primary, they don’t have waffle room in a general election. I WANT a candidate that will readily commit to MORAL VALUES.

I realize others may not feel this way, but this is my position. I see no reason to back off from it. Also, BTW, you won’t see me bad mouthing (except liberals in the GOP) other conservative candidates once I chose my “horse.” I will sing the praises of my pick and NOT dwell on the faults of other candidates (the conservative ones).

I am glad you feel you can fully trust and support Sarah Palin. I hope I will feel the same about her or another candidate when the time comes. FOR NOW, I am remaining objective and NOT fully trusting anyone. Regardless of their past.

Yep but quite sadly some on here that support Palin do or die only and call ALL others names like DUer’s and the MSM would have been repeating these lies. What will they do when Perry gets the nomination with Rubio ,Bachmann, or West as VP?

I agree. I have nothing against Palin accept her patenting her name and playing games has me question if she will run. There is no time for games and she has to prove herself before she will garner any independent votes. We don’t have time for games PERIOD. But the people on here have gone on and on at how her experience tops anyone’s.Sadly, they will have all kinds of hurling insults to Bachmann when they read what a voter said about Bachmann below. The voter sure thinks Bachmann is experienced. But then again they worship Palin so much I have been told on these threads that Palin trumps West in experience.I have not a clue why they are knocking all other tea party candidates and calling Bachmann a RINO.Some people think Bachmann is ready for the top spot.

I'm sure Bachman has done some community organizing and voted present at least once. Easily qualifies her for President.
