Earlier this week, Real Clear Politics' Scott Conroy broke news that Former GOP Vice Presidential Nominee Sarah Palin is heading back to Iowa in September, sparking speculation that she is planning a 2012 presidential run.
--snip--
Though Palin has been off the radar recently, Conroy warns not to discount her yet.
"I'm told that she's basically been immersing herself in policy and studying up," he said of her absence.
As for husband Todd Palin, Conroy notes that he "seemed very gung-ho" about the idea of a 2012 presidential run.....

Then watch all the freaks' heads explode. LOL
Sarah’s been preparing to run for quite some time. CBS can’t be expected to know that, tho, dealing in truth is totally foreign to them.
I’m not certain that Sarah is my favorite candidate, and I’m not sure that she can run a great campaign and win, but I do know for a fact that if she does win the leftists will absolutely come apart at the seams and that I will enjoy watching this like nothing else.
She’s stretching and warming up.
Think she realizes that if she wants the country to be saved, she will have to lead.
Slim pickings after her, in the way of candidates, for the job at hand.
The thing about Pain is, unlike all the others, announced and maybes, she has been so thoroughly vetted, there can't be anything else to throw at her. With the others, GOD only knows what's hiding in their closets.
Unlike you, I am positive that she can run a great campaign. She learned her lessons the last time around and understands just how the vast majority of behind the scenes people work. She's NOT going to get sucked in by any of them, this time.
OTOH, we've already seen how some candidates' managers/handlers have botched the job, whilst others don't have the "right" ( as in knowledgeable ) staff at all.
Still others ( Newtie, for one ) keeps stabbing themselves in the back, whilst placing both feet in their respective mouths and then jumping.
This has to have the Eunuchs of the GOP scared spitless.
Their ability to manipulate the differenct factions of the GOP is coming to a close.
For those of you who aren't familiar with that particular children's story, it's about a little red hen who does everything herself, yet those who don't help want the benefits of her hard work. I truly doubt that Palin will be endorsing someone else and not run herself.
I don’t know what she’s doing. She hasn’t hired a campaign staff yet. We know that much. I find it odd that she has been mostly silent on the debt ceiling debate. When she did speak, she didn’t take a strong position. She simply said, “we’re watching you” to the House freshman. It seems more like a game of cat and mouse than a potential candidate getting ready to announce. Some people really like that about her. I don’t like or dislike it. I simply don’t understand it as a strategy. Whatever she’s doing, I hope she tells everyone soon.
She has written about this debt crisis stuff quite a lot, actually.
If you've missed those threads, you can and should look for them and read what she has had to say about this.
To 1 - If I were to wager I’d lay money on her running, but I’d hedge it with a bet that she opts out and urges her fans to support Rick Perry.
Of course she’s running. How can she not look at the current landscape and say there is someone better to do the job? Which was her caveat for not running. Good grief I can’t wait to watch what happens! Especially in the GOP. We know lib Dems heads will explode and have been, but...wow.
SaraH Barracuda was always running. She’ll win, too
How stupid are these “smart people”?
“SaraH Barracuda was always running. Shell win, too
How stupid are these smart people?”
Yep, and I remember when Fred Thompson couldn’t lose either. At least here on FR.
I would be seriously surprised if Sarah Palin did not enter the race.
If we look at this from a personal point of view - Palin can only win even if she does not gain the nomination or loses in the general.
The MSM will always despise her so let me set them aside...
If Palin doesn’t run virtually all interest in her will evaporate. Her story will have been told and people will consider her finished.
But when Palin does run, she adds a new chapter to her story that will keep here voice alive even if she comes up short because she will always still have a future possibility.
So when looking at this from a personal perspective from Palin’s point of view, I can only conclude that she will most definitely run for President.
Then add to that her love for America and her personal talents like solution solving and making her voice heard and effective.
solution solving
and problem solving!
If you’re going to make a statement like, “I find it odd that she has been mostly silent on the debt ceiling debate. When she did speak, she didnt take a strong position”, you should do your homework before hitting “post”.
Palin has addressed the debt problem a number of times, including her India speech in March, in a number of FNC/FBN appearances, and on FB. Maybe what you should have written was, “I haven’t kept up with Palin’s previous statements on the deficit/debt issue......”.
No other candidate or potential candidate has directly addressed the deficit/national debt problems more than Palin, accept for maybe Ron Paul.
