Unless the parents opt-out.

Every state mandates certain vaccinations--every one. Mandatory vaccinations at the state level are routine, and have been for decades.
Nothing more than a distraction from St Rick’s crony capitalism.
There’s a whole lot more gonna shake loose in coming weeks.
How many of those are transmitted SOLELY thru sexual contact???
Comparing apples to oranges and cucumbers.
BTW, I’m by no means a big Perry fan. But it’s silly, with all the real problems (serious problems) facing our country today, to allow someone to demegogue this issue.
Do we really want to portray ourselves as the anti-vaccination party? Because that’s going to be the result.
And Bachmann knows this but instead pretended to be horrified by Perry’s decision in Texas.
As far as I’m concerned, Bachmann is a goner.
Nice try in defending crony capitalism, and mandating drugs on account of a sexual promiscuity. Let the parents decide for underage kids.
I don’t know about anybody else, but I’ve been subjected to mandated vaccinations since the 1950’s. Just like kids in every state in the union have. ROFL!
Folks are kind of LATE getting their panties in a wad over mandated vaccinations! ROFL!
I don’t see Gardasil on that list.
Those are transmittable diseases, cervical cancer is not.
Opting out is a lot easier said than done. When I was a kid I was fortunate enough to have a doctor willing to explain the situation to my parents and willing to sign a waiver for me to go to school.
Freedom would be opting in.
The guy made a decision that RILED up the entire state, that the legislature slapped him down. Isn’t that a clue that it was the wrong decision - and a MAJOR one that demonstrated his lack of regard for a health decision to stay within the control of parents?
This can be said of every state.
In GA, the only way to opt out of these is on RELIGIOUS grounds, which I imagine is much easier said than done.
Funny thing is that the docs wouldn’t give me most of the vaccines because they didn’t know why I had an enlarged spleen and they didn’t want to risk it.
Hepititis B. Spead via the trasmission of semen and blood either through sexual contact or the sharing of infected drug needles.
Don't like Gardasil? Fine, then argue that point.
But arguing that making a vaccination mandatory is somehow unprecedented is not a valid point.
The other vaccines you listed are 100% effective and kill the viruses they are meant to kill and they are NOT mandatory.
To be honest Perry also included an opt out in his order. However, he also has financial ties to the company that makes the vaccine and that is what most people are pi**ed off about. Pushing a vaccine that kills some children who get it and doing it for financial gain.
You Perrybots come up with the stupidest crap trying to defend him.
Perry 2012: Everybody Does It.
GA has a program where they send parents information about Gardasil when the child reaches a certain age, and the state will pay for the vaccinations.
As I recall, the parents have to fill out a form that is returned to the school indicating that they did or did not have the child vaccinated. That may have changed since my child was in school.
>>Nothing more than a distraction from St Ricks crony capitalism.<<
Define “crony capitalism” (if you dare).
