California Republicans still favor former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in the GOP's presidential primary sweepstakes, but they have a new No. 2: Newt Gingrich.
A new Field Poll shows the former House speaker has displaced Texas Gov. Rick Perry as the prime challenger to Romney in the Golden State. Romney leads the field at 26 percent, with Gingrich close behind at 23 percent.

Why even ask this question?
Indeed. It is compeletely irrelevant who Obama beats in California. Completely. He doesn’t even need to spend money in the state. Still won’t save him from being a one-term wonder.
Like the Calif. GOP counts for anything.
California is a lost cause. I look forward to it losing electoral votes intio the future until the idiots wake up and realize they have been crapping in their nest for so long that it is unhabitable by business.
