Oops, Teresa Doggett ran for Congress from Austion (not Houston), of course, since she ran against Lloyd Doggett. So, are John and Teresa related? It’s already been established that Lloyd isn’t related to either one.
John Doggett was her husband. They apparently divorced at some point and she remarried and now goes by Teresa Doggett Taylor.
