Gingrich campaign pulling in big dollars
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch ^ | December 8, 2011

Newt Gingrich's campaign for the Republican presidential nomination, which has struggled financially for most of the year, says the former House speaker raised $4 million in the first half of the fourth quarter, when he began climbing in the polls.

That's about $1 million more than Gingrich raised in the first five months of the campaign, when he fell nearly $1.2 million in debt, including $450,000 owed to a private jet company.

The third quarter was by far Gingrich's worst: He raised just $800,000 and lost more than a dozen staffers who quit en masse in June.

But Herman Cain's demise has been Gingrich's gain — and with many Republican voters still unwilling to jump behind Mitt Romney, Gingrich has managed a comeback that is evident not just in poll numbers, but in dollars to his campaign.

"There were days in August when we raised $10,000 overnight and we'd be very excited about it," Gingrich spokesman R.C. Hammond said in an interview Wednesday. "Now we see $10,000 an hour."

Palin leans toward Gingrich — Sarah Palin says she won't make an endorsement in the GOP race just yet. But it sounds like there's one candidate who could earn her support: Newt Gingrich....

Why are these article popping up claiming that Sarah is leaning towards Newt? She spoke well of him before but so had she spoken well of a lot of the candidates, especially Santorum! Yesterday she said Newt is a D.C. Insider and the claims that he’s not is bogus. That doesnt sound like a ringing endorsement Geez!

Thanks be to God that there is a non-Romney capable of a double digit lead, NATIONALLY, over him and with impeccable political timing. WOW! Romney is in a corner, and about to become very dangerous as he partners up with the establishment godfathers for a full frontal assault. What a slog ahead, revolving around a money war.

Sarah will endorse the non-Romney who is in the lead after South Carolina. We will be determining who that candidate is, not her. She will follow us, not the other way around. She knows who butter her bread and buys her trademarks......I mean.....her books.

Don’t forget the Ron Paul fanatics who want Newt soup!

I’ll hold my nose and vote for whoever wins the nod, but please oh please don’t let it be Ron Paul.

Still can’t comment beyond charactorizing all female posters as “jealous” who lay out independence from Sarah’s every thought before they can function. LOL!

Sarah isn’t running, you suppose to be happy but you continue to jab at her for “allege” imaginary moneymaking books deals she hasn’t produce since last year. That seems that you are at spite against her for something other than political.....it’s cattiness

You brought her up. I wanted you to know it will be *we*, who will be doing the endorsing and she will be seen following her fan base and customers.

I gave to Palin many times and got squat!

I gave to Cain and got squat again!

Gingrich is not getting any cash from me!

I’m jinxed and don’t want to pass it on again!

2012 Republican Race: The Field May Not Be Closed

Conventional wisdom is that the Republican presidential field is set, and that it is much too late for a new candidate to enter the race.

In years past, that would be absolutely correct. Over the last few decades, dozens of primaries and caucuses have been shoe-horned into the opening weeks of the election year, with the tendency on the Republican side for the front-running candidate to score a quick knockout.

But next year, the arrangement of the primary calendar is much different. It is less condensed at the front, much more loaded with events at the back, with the prospect of a viable, late-starting candidate quite real.

Could Sarah Palin Still Get in the Race?

“.....Feb. 14 is the last day that a late entrant could enter the race and reasonably be expected to do well in subsequent races.

The scenario looks something like this: http://voices.yahoo.com/could-sarah-palin-still-race-10634503.html?cat=9
