Well, he might be able to pull off a Huckleberry or a Pat Robertson but really... what will happen when all those evangelicals find out Santorum is one of those golderned Papists? I mean that's right up there with being a Mormon right?

Santorum has a quality that is hard to describe. He is touted by supporters as having solid beliefs and forcefully states them; however, his demeanor is one of a tentative bridegroom. He appears overwhelmed by the starpower of the other candidates and wilts into the background with a hurt/angry facial expression.
Just an observation, but one has to wonder how he would handle a combative Congress and foreign dignitaries.

I wouldn’t spend time wonering about something that won’t be on his plate. JMO.

Yes...I'm looking to campaign for him. He might be down in the polls, but he knows about the issues.

"He is touted by supporters as having solid beliefs and forcefully states them; however, his demeanor is one of a tentative bridegroom. IMHO, what you've observed is Santorum's personal sense of humility; noticeable mostly because none of the other candidates exhibit it.

I wouldn’t expect a Gingrich fan to recognize humility.

I hope Rick can get some more traction. I would be very comfortable with President Santorum.
To: sodpoodle
There’s a fine line between bold self-confidence and outright arrogance. If I were a cop behind Newt, I’d have pulled him over for weaving a long time ago.

I really like Santorum on every single issue, but he needs to show a little more passion and fire.
Actually, I am afraid to get my hopes up about his candidacy, after my first choice, Palin, dropped out followed by Cain, my second choice.

How does one “drop out” (Gov. Palin) when one was never in in the first place?
