I put the paragraph in the wrong place.

It should have read:

The point is this, many great conservatives of far greater cred than you consider Newt an effective

DUDE! THAT is an appeal to authority.

Let's recap:

Your rant against Newt is the kind of rant that Thomas Sowell makes fun of. That kind of rant would infuriate Reagan

Straw man .... check.(more like "no man", but who's counting)

Appeal to Authority ... check, and check (that's two, I guess I'm counting)

I’ll use smaller words next time. I promise, nothing over three syllables.

Good point potlatch -

“Says the wrong thing -”

Like constantly beating Rick Perry to death over something few people were - or would - know about - and that certainly would not decide who the winner would be

That one-trick pony stuff is not enough - and she repeats her personal history to compensate for her lack of experience elsewhere

It’s like Michelle Obama’s clothes - Pretty soon it ceases to be convincing - and it becomes either funny or irritating

It’s too late to set records doing Jumping Jacks now - Even if you don’t break the floorboards

I have been turned off by MB for months now, but no candidate deserves this treatment. The co-chair could have waited till after the caucuses on Tuesday, then stepped down. She won’t be in the race for long thereafter (as I see it), and he’s not showing any trustworthiness or honor IMO.

How is it all these R candidates have the worst people on earth serving their campaigns? Newt’s and Perry’s failed horribly in VA; Newt’s early team left him and went to Perry (at least early in the contest) but seem to have done no better by Perry.

Therefore your shallow sound bytes and talking points are meaningless. .

Again (and I swear I do not say it often), DUDE!

What the heck "sound bytes" or "talking points" are you talking about?

Really?

Can you copy and paste one of these "sound bytes" or "talking points"? Who's comments are you reading when you respond to mine?

Ed Rollins fame comes from his loose mouth in New Jersey when he worked for Whitman -

I cannot imagine why anyone would even consider hiring a jerk like Rollins

They love him at MSNBC

Relax - Pretend you are in a $10,000 a day hotel in some exotic tropical locale - sipping on a cool adult beverage

$700 million laundered through Solyndra (among others)buys a lot of chaos.

Yes, she beat on Perry over a Gardasil story a woman supposedly told her. I think she takes ‘snippets’ of information and inflates them. But she is sharp as a tack with her quick replies.

Hope you saw my correction. You brought up Rollins and I then confused him with the other, lol.

And I'm not appealing to you, I am appealing to those perusing the debate and using you as a mere foil

What language do you speak?

Me speekum english.

There are several (keeping words small) "things".

These "things" are called "logical fallacies".

There are many of these "things". Each of them has a "name".

The "name" of one of them is: "Appeal to Authority"

Another is called "Appeal to Popularity"

There are others, with other "names".

I even provided a "LINK" to a fairly good list of these "things" and their "names".

When I used the word "Appeal" it was as part of the "NAME" of a "THING" sometimes known as a "logical fallacy".

Just so we're clear: I was NOT hitting on you.

(I say this because I don't know what your interpretation of the phrase "appealing to you" is)

Pretty much nailed it right there.

This whole thing was in Michelle’s hands. She won the straw poll, then bombed by the second debate by going all Molly Hatchet on everyone.

Truthfully, I am not very familiar with Ed Rollins and wouldn’t recognize him. I don’t watch MSNBC either. Lol, this will bother you but I don’t care what Michelle wears either. When Jackie was FLOTUS I admired what she wore.

We must admire how Neut has now kept his word about not attacking other candidates like Bachmann has done - he only is-is “correcting the record” - for “history”

The time zone is getting to me -

OK, Bachman has disappointed in the debates, and in her "Iron Lady" self comparison; but today's reports point way more to a Paul maneuver to discredit any others who might pull in social conservative votes.

Defections, Clerical calls for both Bachman and Santorum to simply quit their efforts (!), and a looming caucus (Paul's forte) all smell of manipulation...conspiracy may not be apt, but manipulation fits inside the lines.

Reducing or discrediting the other social conservative hopefuls leaves only crazy ol' Ron to sop up that constituency..whatever you call it.

Well, because nobody but you is going to vote for him, of course.

What’s that? ... Why isn’t anyone going to vote for Newt?

Why, because he can’t win, Silly!

Kind of like the “Nobody goes there anymore because it’s too crowded” argument. Funny.

Yeah, I saw headlines on Drudge about Newt today......
My computer is so slow here but I’ve replied to 3 email while posting, lol.

Saw Perry on Fox News earlier too, and then Bachmann.

I’m just suggesting that if Newt does pooryly in IA and NH, you’ll see it in SC and FL.

If he finishes say 2nd or 3rd in IA and NH, he’ll be ok. But if he finishes 4th or 5th in IA, then 4th or 5th in NH, his poll #s in SC and FL today won’t mean anything by the time they vote.

SC doesn’t vote for another 24 days, FL for another 34. That’s a very long time.

Neut is using up all his “Flip-Flop” criticisms of others

For a “historian” he seems to have neglected his own “paper trail”

He wants to claim universal credit for all kinds of things (Magna Carta, Old Testament, War and Peace, McDonalds’s new menu, etc.) - but he attempts to deflect and any criticism of himself by saying “I only edited it with my co-author....” or “It was something brought up by the Heritage Foundation at a forum....”

“Less is More” is not in Neut’s realm of thought - or thoughtlessness...

Sometimes the 3rd time is not a really charm -

First, anyone who thinks Michele is in this as a shill for Mitt is a moron.

Second, to say that a State Campaign Manager betraying her and a Campaign PAC betraying her is somehow HER fault and makes her somehow less worthy of support — is a moron.

Michele Bachmann isn’t perfect — NONE of the candidates are. But of them ALL, she and Rick Santorum are the ONLY TWO that come close to the ideals that most FReepers claim to hold to as “Conservatives.”

The MORE LIKELY reality is that there was something IN IT for this guy to betray Michele. I have an idea who’s behind it — and it ain’t Ron Paul. And ain’t it strange Mittens picks up this PAC’s support about the same time — and they won’t answer the phone to explain themselves? COINCIDENCE?! I think not.

Someone else said, “You really don’t get it, do you?” I get it. The Republican Establishment DOES NOT want a Conservative to win the Nomination. There are only TWO real Conservatives in the race. Michele will be forced out first — then Rick Santorum. Ron Paul cannot win the Republican nomination. The others can be either dealt with or controlled to varying degrees. But along the way, they have set traps (Virginia, anyone?) to cut down the field to JUST ONE inevitable, acceptable, ESTABLISHMENT Candidate.

There are variables, and it’s not the “perfect” plan for the establishment — but, they’ve given themselves the BEST shot at their man getting the nod. And if a totally unacceptable candidate DID somehow slip through — well, they would just sabotage him/her and give the White House to Obama for 4 more years. Hey — they’re ESTABLISHMENT, right? And they’ll still have Congress.... Oh well...

I GET IT, ALRIGHT. Does anyone else?
