Four years later, some Iowa Democrats have mixed feelings about Obama

Des Moines, Iowa (CNN) -- Daniel Bradshaw, a young barber at Platinum Kutz in central Des Moines, hovers over a customer's half-trimmed head, clippers in hand, talking about the good old days of 2008.

"Yeah, I was all for Obama. He was the man!" proclaimed Bradshaw, 32, whose friends call him "Mr. Puerto Rico" and whose colleagues sometimes refer to him as "Mr. Steal-Your-Client." As he brushed the hair clippings off his apron, he goes on: "I even got to meet him, once. He was all that."

Or so he thought.

Bradshaw, like many of his fellow Democrats, feels let down. The promise, the hope, the dream of the first black president has stalled in the reality of a stubborn economy, two wars and a Congress engaged in full-contact politics.

So this time around, come Election Day 2012, a frustrated Bradshaw says he might not vote at all. He's done with all of it.

"After all this, I just don't trust the government anymore. They're just playin' with people. What have they really done? Nothing, as far as I can see. I'm not going to vote at all this year. My wife, either, I've convinced her not to vote," lamented Bradshaw as he edged the hairline of his customer...

This is interesting how CNN and some of the others are laying the Dems vulnerable.

Interesting as well; the kind of stories they write; to get their point home. Evybody can realate to honesty shared over hair clippers and a trim. After all; they are talkin to Middle America...

CNN--Communist News Network all the way. Yeah! It's the "stubborn" economy, not Ogolfo's and his minions' policies of super EPA powers, no drilling, govt. handouts to his friends the unions causing the bad economy.

It's Bush's wars, not Otravelo's foreign policies, his lies, his acting like a pimp with a new pink Cadillac and a new stable with his jetting round the world, instead of a serious responsible leader.

The Congress?--Bush's fault, too, or either those pesky Republicans who do not believe compromise is giving Princess Nan and Uncle Harry everything they want with whipped cream and cherries.

“Mr. Puerto Rico” is just frustrated that Obama hasn’t moved his ugly Socialism fast enough.

Exactly. That’s why the Kenyan has said that he is going to install the rest of his Marxist agenda by executive order.

Interesting as well; the kind of stories they write; to bring it home. No doubt; everybody can relate to an honesty shared when hair clippers are buzzing and a trim, over the ears is the finishing touch.

After all; they are talkin to America...those who share their common belief in God; Guns; and get haircuts. . .at places with names, like 'Platinum Kutz'

Sorry I don’t buy this article. Iowa is one of the few states that’s doing well in this recession. Iowa is an agricultural state and their farmers are making a lot of money due to global demand for their crops. Since President Obama is the incumbent so he has the natural advantage. If I’m running against Obama as the Republican candidate, I would focus most of my effort in states like Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania because I think those swing states will ultimately decide the election.

Yes, their unemployment is quite a bit lower than the national average. I lived in Central Iowa from the age of 14 until I was 41 (1974-2001) and knew that if I lost a job or wanted to resign, I could walk down the street and get another one. That’s probably still true.

"I'm just disappointed. It's not even Obama. It's all of them. I've come to realize they're all the same. It doesn't matter if you're a Republican, it doesn't matter if you're Democrat, tea party, independent, whatever, it doesn't mater. They are all the same."

This is exactly what you will get from this group of people.

What he does not say, is that he believes in his heart, "If Obama just had a little more time, it could all be different"

He should not have voted in 2008. It didn’t take a whole lot of research to figure out Obama, but people who voted for no more than someone with dark skin, are not worthy of voting at all.
