Today, Arizona Senator John McCain told CBS This Morning that it's time for Rick Santourm to drop out of the race for the GOP Presidential nomination so Mitt Romney can get to focusing on the important stuff like picking Sarah Palin as his running mate. Since John McCain probably hasn't forgotten about that one time he was running for President and picked Sarah Palin for his running mate and her abject stupidity kind of sank his Presidential campaign, there has to be some reasonable explanation as to why he'd encourage the Republican candidate for President to do the political equivalent of shooting himself from a helicopter.
Despite what Palin's hilariously-titled biographical documentary Undefeated might tell you, the former Alaska governor's surprise nomination for Vice President wasn't a boon to the McCain campaign; in fact, the more she talked, the less people seemed to like her. By the time election day rolled around, she was the least popular potential occupant of the White House on the ballot. McCain lost resoundingly.
(snip)
Maybe something's changed about Palin to make her less repugnant to the American public. Maybe he truly believes that she's now ready to do a job that she would have done crappily in 2008. Or maybe he has decided that his party has become an entity that doesn't deserve to win the White House since it's been hijacked by a far-right contingent bent on focusing on ovaries and wombs rather than the economy and jobs.

Erin is displaying “abject stupidity.” It’s a good thing the other party picked that brilliant genius Joe Biden.
It strange how the Left thinks, they have a woman who represents them so well across the spectrum (family, mother, professional, looks, body, etc.), but they hate her because they hate themselves.
These people need to go. They hate America.
Probably it is because McCain knows he would have lost worse without her and Romney is heading for a disaster to eclipse that. It could also be so that Romney could blame her as McCain’s staff did for Romney’s looming failure.
Romney’s going to pick Rubio. Case closed.
The VP pick will be someone who will enhance the ticket’s electability. Voter surveys that the public doesn’t see will be used.
Maybe our VP choice needs to be someone that will appeal to latinos, or minorities in general. Obama’s throwing kisses to them. Question is, how many of them will vote.
No matter how ignorant Erin is, she shouldn’t lie. The only reason McCain wasn’t a complete flop was Sarah. Even with McCain’s people trying to sabotage her, she boosted his voting base. Erin and others who think Sarah was Juan’s mistake should go look at the crowds McCain attracted, compared to those Sarah brought in.
Why does anyone listen to crazy John? McCain can’t remember what he had for breakfast.
Because conservatives held their noses on McRino to vote for Palin and the GOP knows Palin would be the only way Romney would get any of the conservative vote. Not that he would pick Palin or that Palin would accept.
because she would be a GREAT VP
words of an envious asshole broad without brains, or a democrat
It's amazing the lies that the left can get away with.
Immediately after picking Palin, McCain's numbers soared, and he actually shot ahead of Obama for the first time.
But when the TARP crisis started and McCain started acting irratically in response (I'm suspending my campaign!?") he was finished.
Well at least she's truthful about her own self-loathing. From her blog, about herself:

Far be it from me to argue, sweety.
Yup!
Satan’s minions cannot abide Gov. Palin.
I didn’t vote McCain because of McCain or Palin. I voted McCain because of 0bama. And I’ll vote RomneySantorumGingrichPaulAnyone because of 0bama. 0bama’s deranged leftism is the problem we all face.
Let’s be fair to McCain here, it was not his staff that blamed Palin for the loss. Do the research. It was Romney staff who McCain took on after Romney pulled out. This is one of the reasons I will not be supporting Romney in the fall. He bears the subtle Mormon hate-on for Christians, and has targeted the political careers of good Christians like Palin.
