Former “CBS Evening News” anchor Dan Rather says presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney has a 50 percent chance of beating President Barack Obama in November.

“I have no idea what kind of president [former Massachusetts] Gov. Romney will make, but I do think . . . he has a good chance of becoming president,” Rather told Politico. “President Obama is even money at best at this particular time . . . His odds right now are 50/50 in my book.”

Obama performs much better campaigning than as president, said Rather, who is promoting a new book, “Rather Outspoken: My Life In the News.” Obama must recapture his skills of engagement and persuasiveness that served him so well in 2008, if he wants to succeed again, Rather said....

One is a Liberal, the other is a radical Marxist.

Neither will get my vote.

Partly true, partly the media was pushing him because they liked him and because he was black.

Obama must recapture his skills of engagement and persuasiveness that served him so well in 2008, if he wants to succeed again, Rather said....

A LOT harder this time when he has to run as the incumbent. Hopey-changey chin music will be a lot harder if not impossible to sell this time.

Romney will win. Just like he took out all his GOP Challengers any way he could, he will do the same to Obama. Romney will win.

Don't forget, he won't have the media working for him in the general.

you keep telling yourself that. How did Romney do it in the primary? Out spent everyone else.

He won’t have that advantage with Obama and the MSM.

More proof Romney can’t beat Obama, Rather is proven liar.

He couldn’t even beat McCain, who sure want to win the Presidency.
