The Republican is Romney, the Democrat is Obama.

And there isn't a dime's worth of difference between them. There is hardly any substantive difference between the two of them, according to their records in office, so quit trying to push the scary threat button. It doesn't work in this scenario.

If Romney goes on to be confirmed as the nominee, then the die is cast. We will have four more years of Socialism, no matter who wins in November.

Don't Vote for the Republican and give Obama a free ride back into the White House if that's what you want to do.

Quit calling Romney "the Republican". He's no more a Republican, than Susan Collins, or Olympia Snowe. Hell, he's more on the order of a Dede Scozafava 'Republican'.

I'd rather have an avowed and overt enemy in front of me, than a stealth enemy behind me, who will stab me in the back as soon as I'm not looking.

Romney is a liberal Democrat with an R on his sleeve. He's the biggest lying phoney that has ever slimed their way into our party. The man is a snake, and a tool of the left. He's a trojan horse, sent to infect and destroy the burgeoning rebellion of the Tea Party.

Vote for him if you must, but all you're going to get in return, is a president who will forward the left liberal agenda in Obama's stead. And you will have made that happen under the color of your own banner.

Good luck with your conscience.

You win, I'll Vote for Obama instead. I will assume you know I'm kidding.

In 2012 Realville, Romney is “the Republican” running against “the Communist”.

Romney wasn't my choice in the Primary and I'm sure he wasn't yours. He was the choice of Republican Primary Voters and unless there is some kind on miracle at the Convention, like an Asteroid strike, Romney will be the guy.

There are only two choices in Realville, the arguing between the two factions here on FR does not change that. If you see a third choice, enjoy the experience. It sells with the people who agree with you, just as my viewpoint resonates with the ABO crowd.

My conscience will not allow me to do anything that will embolden Obama in his quest to destroy America when handed a second term, so there is no need to wish me good luck. I do appreciate your concern for my mental health though.

Of course I know you won't vote for Obama. Neither will I. Not even a halfway principled conservative would. But I also won't vote for Romney.

Do try to think with the potential dynamics that will occur between a Republican dominated Congress and a 'Republican' Socialist president, versus a Democrat Socialist president.

The 'Republican Socialist's left-wing agenda will get a pass, while the Democrat Socialist will be fought tooth and nail. Results are all I care about in the coming four years. I want Congress to OPPOSE the Socialist inhabiting the White House - not roll over for him.

Although we do not share the same viewpoints, I respect your passionate support of your position.

As is the custom, we can agree to disagree.

That has to be balanced against the damage an Obama second term would cause in areas such as court appointments, executive orders, regulatory strangleholds on the economy and outright usurpations of power. As bad as the excesses of full GOP control became under Bush, they pale in comparison to what Obama continues to do even with GOP control of the House as a buffer.

Unless the GOP were to get to 67 seats in the Senate, Obama, Holder and the other goons will continue to abuse power with impunity because the Clintoon precedent showed that the Dems will not vote to remove upon impeachment.

So every conservative has to ponder which is worse for this country.

They are the reason I dislike Romney supporters. Those guys dislike Palin with the same passion we dislike Romney. No love lost between these two people. Romney and Palin.

What makes you think Mittens isn't capable of all those same excesses, usurpations, bypasses, edicts, and leftist appointments? He clearly demonstrated that he is, while he was Governor of Massachusetts. I defy you to point to a single substantial thing in his record that differentiates him from Obama, or any other left-wing radical.

Pushing the fear button is ineffective on anyone that can see this.

It's hardly pressing the fear button, it's an observation of what Obama has done already. That should give just about everyone pause.

I personally don't see Romney being as bad as Obama - but if he has GOP control of the House and Senate as well, without an influx of additional conservatives into both bodies, some of that difference could well be offset.

Like I said, every conservative is going to have to sort through this for themselves, but it isn't nearly as black-and-white as people on both sides are making it. Obama is a known. Romney is far less of such. So everyone will have to try and guess for themselves how Romney would act as president.

As Nancy Pelosi might say, you have to elect Myth to see what his plans are.

WHAMMO.

Obama is a scarecrow that has convinced decent patriotic ABOers that he is an evil Oz the Great and Powerful.

To those ABOers, I say, stop looking behind you and START LOOKING AHEAD.

It's all about Obama right now.

Who would it be all about a year into a Romney presidency, in particular one where he was elected in a landlide? Exactly, WHO would it be about then?

And WHO, with more than a majority of voting Americans behind him as he won in a landslide, would be in the best position to advance the same liberal agenda of cap-and-trade global warming regulation, government-run health care, activist judges, abortion, and gay "rights," that he IS ON RECORD advancing in Massachusetts? An agenda he contiinues to embrace, disclaiming only carefully picked slices?

Obama would be long forgotten, and you ABOers who put this monster in power at the top of the Republican party would have a very rude awakening and a sinking feeling in your stomachs.

ABOers, if Romney wins in a landslide, you would rue the day you surrendered to fear of Obama and voted for a guy you knew was out to strangle your freedoms, from health care to environmental tyranny to activist judges. YOU KNEW IT, and you voted for him, anyway. But ... b-b-b-but ... you meant to vote against Obama!

There is no voting "against." Your vote is FOR something, every time, whether you want it or not.

My vote will be FOR third party to vote FOR putting whichever socialist wins in on such a split vote plurality that he enters office with only about one third of the American vote and is on the defensive against everybody, both in his own party and the other party. That is what I will be voting FOR.

Because voting "against" is a fallacy.

RESIST to their faces!

Amen, BlackElk.
