I remember in the 70s, when I was a little kid, I had a neighbor who was 12 and babysat me. He and his young siblings just got back from Hawaii, and said “We saw Sonny & Cher walking on the beach one morning. Cher is mean, ‘though. IMHO, her actions are dictated by the guilt of her hypocrisy; she turned her back on her daughter while she profited for years by pandering to the gay community after the mainstream audience abandoned her. I'm guessing it must have pointed out to her since she's obviously too thick to figure it out on her own. In any case, she would have been a better mother had she not nurtured her daughter's mental illness.
