From Congresswoman Adams:
Governor Sarah Palin Endorses Conservative Sandy Adams for U.S. House
Orlando, FL Today, freshman Sandy Adams announced that she had earned the endorsement of former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential Nominee Sarah Palin. Governor Palins support is proof-positive that Sandy Adams is the conservative choice for Floridas new 7th Congressional District.
Governor Sarah Palin has led the charge for conservatives, said Adams. While many politicians subscribe to the notion of the status quo, Governor Palin has risen above it. She knows that the true power of our country comes from the American people not the Washington establishment or special interest groups. Governor Palin knows our nation is drowning in debt and the only way for our country to survive is to send true fiscal conservatives to Washington, D.C.
Americans need representatives who will truly listen to them and that care about the direction our country is heading. I didnt run for Congress because I wanted to be a politician, I ran because I was concerned about the future for our grandchildren and children. I refuse to accept business as usual in Washington, because I know Central Floridians deserve better than a career politician like my opponent.
Today, Gov. Palin made the following endorsement of Adams:
In 2012, we have a unique opportunity to elect more commonsense conservatives to Congress, but that alone is not enough. We must support conservatives who are with us on the issues but not weighed down with the burden of crony capitalism that is so prevalent in Washington, D.C. Congresswoman Sandy Adams is just one of those candidates. Unlike her opponent, Sandy is free from the shackles of lobbyists and back door dealings in Washington. As someone who served in the military and a career law enforcement officer, Sandy doesnt have time or the patience for the business as usual ways of Washington. Washington insiders on both sides of the aisle have spent this country into massive debt and put our childrens future at risk. Lets start to restore power to the people. Please join me in supporting Sandy Adams today.
~ Sarah Palin
Adams was endorsed by Gov. Palin in her race against an incumbent Democrat in 2010, and that support helped contribute to a 20 point win in November. At the beginning of this election, Adams approached Palin about continuing that support in her race for re-election. In her letter to Palin, Adams wrote:
During the 2008 presidential campaign your candidacy for vice president shone a bright spotlight on the need for politicians to answer to the people they are seeking to represent. You spoke out against the entrenched bureaucracy that holds our economy down, against the mainstream media who go along with the status quo to maintain their access to power, and against the special interests who too often control the levers of power in politics.
While ultimately unsuccessful, your outspokenness helped a new generation of politicians who were not afraid to stand up to the old guard, who are willing to challenge the status quo, and who believe that the brightest days of our republic lie ahead of us. For that I thank you.
Today I am writing to once again ask for your endorsement in my reelection bid for Congress. This year, however, it is not a Democrat that chose to run against me, but rather a fellow Republican. Rather than run in a district with more than 70 percent of the people living there currently in his congressional district, my opponent has chosen to run against me for reelection. A twenty-year incumbent who has a long history of favoring earmarks, foreign travel and who once proclaimed he was President Obamas biggest cheerleader for the high speed rail boondoggle, my opponent epitomizes what is wrong with Washington, D.C.
Todays endorsement by Gov. Palin adds to a long list of conservative organizations committed to supporting freshman Sandy Adams in her race against a 20-year incumbent politician. To date, Adams has been endorsed by the Concerned Women for America, Eagle Forum, Maggies List, VIEW PAC, the National Right to Life, SBA List, the National Defense PAC, the Government is Not God PAC, David Barton, Erick Erickson, the Central Florida Tea Party Council, and Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

I’m growing tired of “Sarah Palin Endorses”
So what?
As a matter of fact, I’m tired of any “endorses”.
Like me or anybody else needs somebody else’ “endorsement” to help us figure out who is going to vote our values.
I don’t need any mayor or governor to endorse who I choose, I don’t need any newspaper editorial to point me in the right direction, and I don’t need any other country to help me make my selection.
Let them just lay the dang cards out and I’ll choose who I choose.
Palin calls positive attention to conservative candidates. Nothing wrong with that.
Very True, and in looking at the big picture, that’s appropriate. I guess what turned my worm is the headline. IMO, Sandy’s name should be first.
Any endorsee’s name should come first.
I’m thinking cynically that endorsers are endorsing to see their names in the headlines.
But in realization, neither entity controls the headline. It’s the news seller that is using the biggest name to draw the most attention.
So there it is - my peeve is with the news sellers.
Beat me. My first reaction too.
That's a matter of opinion, and it's an odd one. The endorser's name should come first, because the endorser is the one who has garnered attention for the candidate by doing the specifically newsworthy thing that has generated the news report. Without the actions of the endorser (usually holding a press conference or generating a press release to announce the endorsement) the story wouldn't exist.
I think you were right the first time. You're tired of "Sarah Palin endorses." Specifically so.
When Governor Palin endorses a candidate, their campaign normally experiences a sharp uptick in donations.
“Governor Palins support is proof-positive that Sandy Adams is the conservative choice for Floridas new 7th Congressional District.”
Uh, not always.
Oh, please give us examples to back up your statement. We’re all ears.
May I site Chambliss in GA.
Sorry Governor Palin this is where you and I walk different paths.
I have known and work with and for John Micca since the 70s in Broward/Ft. Lauderdale and am not stopping now.
He’s doing great work with Rep Issa on F&F.
That's a question, right? Questions require question marks, don't they? See how easy this is?
Why don't you "cite" Chambliss instead? Then your post will make a little more sense.
So who did you want to win the '08 runoff? The Democrat Jim Martin?
I am tired of tired of Sarah Palin endorses.
How can you say that? She did a lot for the 2010 election - what d you expect her to do, nothing???
Bet if she did nothing you’d be complaining she isn’t doing enough.
This is going to take all we’ve got to beat what we’re fighting against. What are you going to do to make a difference besides whine on FR?
Please, read carefully what Sea Parrot wrote. I think you and Sea Parrot are in full agreement. ;-)
Thank you. Many of these candidates I would have missed. I have no problem reviewing their records and sending contributions to other states’ races after doing my own due diligence. We need the fresh blood. Badly.
Ahh...Thanks.
Sea Parrot I apologize.
I think I saw this guy way back when on TV berating Novak for a less than perfect English response to a question which was somehow supposed to prove he was right about the argument. He was a Perot supporter back then.
