Tennessee: On the ground / EARLY VOTING (Anecdotal)

Posted on 10/17/2012 6:15:50 PM PDT by AdamBomb

Today was the first day of early voting in Tennessee...a state that will be easily won by Romney.

I live in Marsha Blackburn's district. She will also easily win in this very conservative district.

So why is this important? Even thought the R's will win easy here, early voters turned out in huge numbers in Williamson County. In fact, the poll workers were not able to take a break all day because people just kept coming in.

Again, this is a very Republican district with the outcomes already known.

Me thinks there is a tidal wave of enthusiasm on our side.

I voted in Shelby County this afternoon about 3:00. The voting place was covered up. Close to an hour wait.

They had messed up my voting registration at the Primaries. Thought that it was straightened out, but no, so I told them I wasn't leaving until I had voted even if it hair lipped the Governor.

I have a terminal lung illness, and this will be my final vote barring a miracle. Got it done.

Miracles are very doable.

There’s not much enthusiasm for Romney.

But there is INCREDIBLE ENTHUSIASM to get rid of the Obamas.

An eager early turnout would suggest people dumping the incumbent.

I just hope people don’t see the early voting and decide their vote isn’t needed. This is what I worry about most, not that Romney can’t win, but that Obama will win due to some people’s complacency.

Very nice, annieokie. However, you should address Coldwater Creek, not me with your comments. However, I’m sure Coldwater will figure out who this was meant for.

In Franklin Co., we had the highest turnout for the first day of early voting than we've ever had. Based on the number of folks who stopped by to chat at the GOP group's setup outside or waved as they drove by, it looks like a good start. The dem's setup was pretty much ignored.

I knew there was going to be a massive Republican turnout after Chick Filet day.
