Tea Party pushes GOP closer to fiscal and political cliff (Hurl, you will)

US House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) is caught between a political rock and hard place. If he appears too willing to raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans to address the deficit, Boehner and other Congressional Republicans risk being challenged in primaries by Tea Party activists. If the GOP leadership appears obstinate in generating new revenue, Republicans may lose seats in the Senate and potentially their majority in the House in the mid-term elections.

It’s worth noting, Tea Party candidates who defeated incumbents or more mainstream candidates in the 2012 GOP primaries often lost in the general election. Hence, Tea Party nominees for House and Senate seats in two years are likely to weaken the Republican Party. This year, as two examples, respected and long-time US Senator Dick Lugar (R-IN) lost in a primary to a Tea Party candidate. It was considered a safe Republican seat. It went Democratic. Similarly, a Tea Party candidate captured the nomination for Senate in Missouri. Democratic incumbent, Claire McCaskell, was considered vulnerable and expected to lose. Due to the Tea Party she won re-election.

Ironically, there’s much talk about the Republican Party broadening its appeal to garner more support in general elections for local, state, and national offices. Yet little thought has been given to re-building the party from within with a new generation of voter. GOP voters, especially those voting in primaries, can’t be primarily ideologues and angry white men if Republican leadership is expected to legislate in an intelligent, responsible manner.

Policy making has always been about consensus and compromise. Tea Party activists have introduced a very dangerous element into the legislative process – “it’s my way or the highway.”

Boehner is attempting to balance the political reality of Tea Party activists while cutting a deal with President Barack Obama...

Whose political reality?

What about not having enough money for everything is political? It’s math.

Oh please, when every indication is it’s Obama and his cadre of lefty hangers-on including Howard Dean who are pushing Obama to let the country go off this “fiscal cliff” by refusing to give up a dime of spending cuts, and even demanding MORE spending including a $50 billion stimulus. The media has no shame. It is Obama that is being utterly unreasonable and borderline irrational here as he refuses to deal on spending, and doubling tax hikes over what was demanded in 2011. Obama is full of himself and actually thinks he has a mandate with his 313,000 vote margin in the electoral college. In addition, he’s got Rapist Clinton advising him that it will be the GOP that gets the brunt of the blame for the fiscal cliff, just like they did for the 1996 government shut down because as Rapist realizes, Democrats almost entirely control the media and thus the narrative being the GOP refused to compromise, even while it was Obama who acted like a jackass and wouldn’t allow any spending cuts in exchange for tax hikes. This country is f-ed with this type of craven, hyper partisan leadership in the White House—and a US news media that refuses to call Obama on his street punk politics.

Crazy bunch of Democrats telling us we lose elections by being hard on tax increases. That's usually always followed by some demand that we go soft on gay marriage.

Actually, we WIN elections the other way around ~ and they LOSE elections with that very same policy.

I think nobama won because the demoncRAT party cheated. It’s the only way to explain the stupidity of so many people voting for him—giving him another 4 years to ruin this country. Think of Keystone pipeline, coal, no drilling for oil, nobama care, payoffs to cronies in green energy, lies, more lies, and even more lies. If not, then the Enemy of Darkness has pulled a veil over the eyes of the majority of this country. Either explanation is rational.

Look, Obama got 10% fewer voters out to vote for him than he did in 2008.

If Romney would have done as well as George Bush in 2004 he'd won!

Jus' sayin', Obama's stupid, but his peeps aren't that stupid to cut their margin that thin through simple cheating. Maybe they worked as hard as they could to get the Democrat voters out ~ and maybe Romney and the Mittbots slacked off a tad!

The TEA party has been marginalized the same way the socialists marginalize anything and anyone that threatens them.

The TEA party is Progressive Enemy No. 1 and you will never hear a good thing said about any member or kindred spirit anywhere in the One Stream Media.

The TEA party has a historical connection to our founding principles as well as financial common sense, but only to those with an adequate education.

I'll bet an extremely low number of sub-30 year olds know anything about our history, the hows, whys or even very much about the whos and it's all by design.

No knowledge, no connection, means no value. Something with no value is easily discarded and "the threat has been eliminated, proceed as planned."

They dumb us down, then they shake us down, then they take us down.

Of course it was voter fraud. No way the Marxist/Muslim usurper- the worst POTUS in history was reelected by the American people!

>Polls indicated that Romney was going to win the election.

>The economy is close to Great Depression era conditions, and unemployment is almost as high as when Obama entered office.

>Economic conditions became so dire after Obama took office it prompted the rise of an entire new movement, the Tea Party.

>Presidents rarely win reelection when the economy is in the tank.

>Mitt knew it too, when he was met by several thousand in that parking garage cheering him when he arrived unannounced at that airport, and he put his hand over his heart and said, 'This is how you know you've won'.

So how did Romney lose a race that numerous reputable polls and pundits predicted would be an easy win, based on historical patterns?

Massive voter fraud.

That and no other reason

We can not wait for 2014 and 2016 to regroup and figure out new strategies. By then it will be too late. The Marxist/Muslim usurper will have completed his planned distruction of America. That's what people fail to understand.

We must act NOW.

Start with the election. If we let the Rats get away with this massive voter fraud, we're no better than a bananna republic.

We must keep digging and pounding him every day, in every way we can- phony birth certificate, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, his hidden life, records....

Can't you just imagine this was the scene with Obama and his Commie staff after stealing the election through voter fraud- while Conservatives blame Romney, argue, point fingers, blather on about who to run in four years, 'starting a new party', and try to figure out how to suck up to minorities the 'next time'?

Map from Barack Obama Voter Fraud 2012

What most refuse to acknowledge is that it was unlikely that ANYBODY could have beaten the voter fraud planned and perpetrated by the Obama machine. They seem to prefer pointing fingers, blaming Romney and blathering on about who to run in 2016 and how to suck up to the minorities.

We must fight election fraud.

These elections are NOT certified yet. The only way to get this investigated, much less recounted or overturned, is through the Secretary of State of each of the five key states: Florida, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. EVEN IF YOU ARE IN ANOTHER STATE you can help. But it won’t do any good to dilute our effort to challenge California or Michigan or other states. Until a major group gets involved to do more, here is the plan: Contact the Secretary of State of the state in question. See contact information below...

Wow, you’ve done a lot to pull the research together. Thank you. What are we going to do about it? The administration IGNORES everything posited by people on the right.

Obviously, with the GOP and everybody else who is in a position to do something, remaining silent it is up to We The People.
There are several groups listed in my post above who are trying to do something.
