Palin will not have a political career unless she holds elected office. Quitting the governorship was one of the biggest political blunders of all time.
Her political influence in recent years is the half life of the 2008 buzz. Her influence as a pundit will continue to fade asymptotically toward zero. As a commentator she does not stand out in a crowd.
I’d vote for her for anything, but her public life is over unless she changes course dramatically.
You are so wrong. I’ll leave you to open your mouth so others who have wisdom can laugh; at least, then, you will be good for something.
If I had to make a wild stab at it, I’d guess that she’s quitting Fox to free her up for a run for the Senate — Mark Begich (D) is up for reelection in 2014, is pro-choice, and pro-drilling (for oil). Lisa Murkowski (R) is working on a law to negate the SCOTUS decision on Citizens United, which should make some FINOs happy. She’s not up until 2016, although, y’know, planes have been claiming famous people in Alaska since Will Rogers and Wiley Post.
