It was Speaker Boehner’s job to keep Mr. Obama from being re-elected? I thought that was Gov. Romney’s role. And how is a House Speaker resbonsible for the makeup of the Senate?
If he was that smart, he would be a leader of the Republican party that would be effective for his whole party, including being an effective driving force and influence in ALL national elections. . . elections in which Republicans would be wildly successful.
Instead, he has had his head handed back to him EVERY TIME he has engaged in negotiations with Obama. Like most everybody else in Washington these days, he is not a statesman that practices self-denial in favor of his country, he is a self-centered leech working to game the system in his favor. That is just what this country has become, with Obama and Congress leading the charge into oblivion.
Unfortunately, the whole 2011 debt ceiling debate, the super committee, and all that garbage set the stage for the Obama re-election. It was confusing, it’s outcome was bizarrely complicated, it stretched on for months too long, it allowed the left to demagogue congress. I watched in frustration knowing they gave Obama a lifeline to spend 2012 running against the congress. It was handled terribly, just as the fiscal cliff negotiation was (until the Senate actually developed the compromise). Yes, Romney was responsible for losing, but the congressional leadership scored a major assist.
Romney was never gong to get elected.
Conservative Christians werre not going to support a Morman regardless.
If the conservatives simply stay home he loses/
