Karl Rove: My new group isn’t out to get the tea party, I swear
Hot Air ^ | 2-6-2013 | Allahpundit

Posted on 02/06/2013 9:03:14 AM PST by Sir Napsalot

From last night’s “Hannity,” here’s the man himself responding to that NYT piece that set conservative media (and grassroots fundraisers) on fire. He’s eager to note how many tea-party candidates he’s supported in the past, both through American Crossroads and his own checkbook, but there’s still no answer to the key question: ......

But then, we’re assuming that Rove’s main goal, and American Crossroads’s goal more broadly, is to boost establishment candidates. Is it? ....

Some donors will walk away, but not all. And by backing the most “electable” candidate in every primary, CPV now has a prefab defense to future losses: They can’t be accused of mismanaging their contributors’ money because they’re betting on the horse with the best odds of winning in each race. It’s like a hedge fund switching to a more risk-averse investment strategy after major losses, even though a lot of Republicans who went bust last year were establishment favorites who weren’t so risky on paper. “Electability” is really just Crossroads’s way of reassuring its funders that next time will be different — with the punchline being that they’ll likely be pressured into backing a few tea-party longshots anyway, just to keep grassroots conservatives from making the CPV endorsement a badge of contempt in the movement that candidates grow reluctant to embrace.

Exit question: Isn’t all of this just a variation on the old debate of whether it’s better to back strong conservatives in every race and risk ending up with a very principled congressional minority or better to support RINOs strategically in some states where conservatives are less likely to win and maybe achieve a squishier majority?

So, tell us, Mr, Rove. Exactly when were you lying? When you said that you wanted to prevent he tea party from pushing their candidates ahead of yours, or now? We are not stupid. Not only did we, the people, understand what you meant, but every conservative think tank got the same message. We don’t trust you. PERIOD!

What happened to all the “Rove you magnificent bastard” posts all over FR?

I dont know. What happened to all the colonists who thought Benedict Arnold was a swell general?

Karl has been attacking and undermining CONSERVATIVES, not liberals, not RINO squishes, CONSERVATIVES. He is firmly in the enemy camp. And he's a proven loser.

The RINO-Way has failed to deliver.

It is sunset time for the RINOs, and as RINOs like Rove have shown, they will still snort and bellow long after sunset.

Just as Big Government is not part of the solution, but IS the problem, so too are the goals of the RINOs for those of us who want Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

The present sorry state of RINO Leaders such as the Esteemed Sobber of The House John “Doormat” Boehner is encapsulated in the Congressional RINO Mantra: “ We have to find a Bipartisan Compromise that will pass both Houses, and that Obama will sign.”

This Congressional RINO Mantra is directly taken from The Buckley Rule which states: “Support the most Conservative Candidate that can win.”

IOW, the assumption of what is good or bad is not a factor for the Country or the GOP. The assumption is that one can discern what will be accepted by others is something that can be known before it is tried.

Thus, Obama or Reid can immobilize the RINO dominated US House of Representatives by just saying “NO” at a press conference to any idea that a RINO might propose.

The result is that only 3 people are needed to manage the US Federal Government: Senate, House and White House Leaders. Currently that is Reid, Boehner and Jarrett, respectively.

Hence, the RINOs have insured that the US Federal Government will not be good for America.

The RINOs have made it very easy for the Democrats to grind America to a halt.

By rejecting the RINOs’ Buckley Rule, the GOP will open the Party to Candidates that are good for the Party.

By rejecting the Congressional RINO Mantra, the US Congress will be open to political action that will override the current 3 leader ‘stall, delay and deny’ political nightmare.

It is pointless to blame the Communists and Socialists in the US Federal Government, because they are just doing what Communists and Socialists do best: regulate, Control and DESTROY!

Between now and the National Election in 2014, the only obstacle that needs to be overcome is the RINO control of the Republican Party.

GAME ON RINO Rove, GAME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Proudly fly your Gadsden flag, and attend TO TAKE OVER your local RINO Doormat Party Meetings!

_____________

Ponder this:

IMHO , the worst “Goal” assumption is contained in the “Buckley Rule:” Support the most Conservative Candidate WHO CAN WIN.

The Gop-Elite IN the Party chose Dole, McCain and Romney. All lost, and all were not clear about what it was that they were trying to CONSERVE.

If one is going to play Basketball, then there had better be a lot of air in the ball, AND NO LIBERAL PATCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The enlarged letters are for effect: People IN the Party are usually wrong about how people OUTSIDE the Party will vote.

Dole, McCain and Romney were supported by the powers that be in the GOP BECAUSE THEY COULD WIN!

_______

The second point is the “Me Too” mentality of the GOP Elites who want to compete for the Democrats pool of Big Government voters.

Hence, the GOP has moved so far to the left, that the bulk of the GOP is far to the left of JFK Democrats of 50 + years ago.

Without clear distinctions, the GOP will continue to be the fat kid “Big Tent” wanna-be Democrat that nobody will play with in the Schoolyard playground called The US Federal Government.
__________________

The last point is the “Inertia of Stupidity.”

Ignorance is when one has not learned something.

Stupidity is when one is mentally unable to learn something.

The GOP Elite try to lose big every 4 years - - - maybe they have learned that losing is a lot easier than winning?

If so, then WE are stupid for not learning that the Sun has already set on the RINO GOP Elite, the Buckley Rule and the RINO Congressional Mantra.

This one's for Jim!

Rove hates the TEA Party and Conservatives, which is why he's employed at Fox News. Rove is the epitome of squishy, big tent, moderate R.

Take Sarah Palin for example. Rove never had any use for her. Never had any kind words for her. Why not? She was the most popular and beloved and yet he viewed her in the same frame as the lamestream. Never stood up for her. Never came to her rescue.

Well, he never came to President Bush's rescue either. The great architect with the white board stands for nothing. Not God, not our Constitution, nothing. He doesn't win elections either. Not since Bush's in 2004.

AND, because he didn't stick up for Bush, Rove is highly responsible for the GOP losing the House in '06, so let's put Rove in his proper place: MENDACIOUS LOSER.

Fight Rove! GO TEA PARTY! GO FREE REPUBLIC!

What Karl “Turd Blossom” Rove has NEVER understood is that when THE SILENT MAJORITY found its voice, they called themselves the TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY Party.

I wrote off Karl Rove when he said that it was his fault that Bush never answered any accusations against him. Rove told him NOT to explain. Look what that did to the GOP.

Then he started bashing Conservatives. I'm a Conservative, NOT a Republican. Under Rove, Conservatives have no place in the elephant party.

Yup. You gotta be a squish to get Rove’s backing. No “God talk.” No fundamental constitutional rights allowed. Stay mum on abortion, gay marriage, gun rights, limited government, economic freedom, secure borders, drilling, etc. Walk like a RINO, quack like a RINO.

However, Rove does not run GOP!

Some elders/wiseguys in GOP need to look at the sorry history of Rove’s ‘success’ and realize that he does not run the party and does not give the party directions.

Like Allahpundit did in this article to point out the American Crossroad did not play decisive roles of pushing candidates over their wins. Some candidates won not because of American Crossroad and Rove, they won because of grassroot support.

NO, Mr. Rove, you did declare war on the Tea Party and the Republican base. This is the same Bravo Sierra “country club Republicans” against the “fly over country Republicans” crap that's been going on for decades; but you've really stepped in it this time.

We've had enough of your worthless, mushy moderate Republicans, Rove. We've got the virtual scalping knives out and are looking for elite RINO establishment political scalps. Thanks for the declaration of war because you just confirmed for everyone what Conservatives have long known: The elite RINO establishment is the enemy, along with the Donkeys and MSM.
