The Democratic Party worships every leftwing celebrity and his sister.

As for Sanford can’t supposedly conservative South Carolina come up with anyone better? And why can’t they get rid of Goober Lindsey Grahamnesty either? I hate politics and the stupidity of just about all of it.

And they wonder why the GOP is quickly heading for the ash heap of history.

We had 16 folks trying to win the (R) primary. I figured Sanford would get to the runoff on name recognition alone. We’ll see if SC-1 voters are really that insane in two weeks.

For many years I pondered what I would do if presented with an election in which the Dem was the usual left-wing wacko, but the GOP was serving up someone with a solid conservative-voting record but low moral character. To date, it has never happened. But it was a question that particularly arose during my revulsion over the Dems constantly overlooking Bill Clinton’s abject sleaze.

I’m confident in my answer now, though. “Character” is just too important to me. I would not vote.

There’s a House of Representatives electoral battle in South Carolina that’s everyone’s talking about...

I'm not talking about it. No one in my family is talking about it, or has even heard about it.

No one I know is talking about it. No one I follow on the internet is talking about it. In fact, this is the first time I've ever heard of it as a subject, and with any luck it will be the last.

Guess I'm a nobody, and happy it be so.

Maybe Pope Francis has made everything Argentine "cool" and that has rubbed off on Mark Sanford.

Sanford and his former wife divorced in 2010. He is now engaged to the Argentinian woman he had the extramarital affair with while he was supposedly hiking the Appalachian Trail.

With regard to Sanford are there not any reasonably moral men running for office these days? No wonder America is seriously declining.

The scoop is that he will crush Sanford like a bug.

Hopefully, he’ll get crushed by Bostic and won’t make it to face the (D) opponent.

Incorrect, you’d be casting your vote for the winner, by not voting.

Another thread on the subject

Well Steve Colbert’s sister (Christ!) has a better chance of upsetting Sanford (especially if his ex-wife who considered running herself stirs up crap) than the other guy so I hope the other guy wins the runoff. Sanford attempting this comeback is ill-advised, this seat is not unwinnable for the other side. Sanford’s nomination would bring unwanted attention to the race.

Curtis Bostic, former Charleston County Councilman.

That’s his website. Must be a coveted url.
