There are a lot of possible scenarios to make a third term happen and none of them are good.

Yes, a hard core conservative, Liberty Party.

I’ve given up hope for this country. Any love I’ve had for it has turned to loathing. At this point, just push it off a cliff; it’s too far gone to fix.

I'm reminded, again, by a great quote from Atlas Shrugged that perfectly describes the current sad state of the country...

"The great oak tree had stood on a hill over the Hudson, in a lonely spot of the Taggart estate. Eddie Willers, aged seven, liked to come and look at that tree. It had stood there for hundreds of years, and he thought it would always stand there. Its roots clutched the hill like a fist with fingers sunk into the soil, and he thought that if a giant were to seize it by the top, he would not be able to uproot it, but would swing the hill and the whole of the earth with it, like a ball at the end of a string. He felt safe in the oak tree’s presence; it was a thing that nothing could change or threaten; it was his greatest symbol of strength.

One night, lightning struck the oak tree. Eddie saw it the next morning. It lay broken in half, and he looked into its trunk as into the mouth of a black tunnel. The trunk was only an empty shell; its heart had rotted away long ago; there was nothing inside – just a thin gray dust that was being dispersed by the whim of the faintest wind. The living power had gone, and the shape it left had not been able to stand without it."

Why the heck would I want republicans in charge of anything? They are essentially democrats and their sole job these days has been to help democrats win elections.

Sure - just like we were going to win the WH and make gains in both Houses last year. When good men do nothing, evil wins. When good men focus on something other than the enemy and ignore that evil will prevail, evil wins. When good men insist that they can’t vote for a paler shade of gray, despite it meaning that inky black will prevail, evil wins. When good men insist on someone who could have thrown that first stone, evil wins. I’m’ sensing a pattern here.

Real Conservatives want conservatives to win...forget the liberal GOP

The sooner conservatives break from the GOP teat’ the sooner conservatives get elected

Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.
...history says it’s difficult to defeat a sitting president in the modern era. But it is arguably even harder for a political party to win three consecutive presidential elections.
I'm not sure what they mean by the modern era, unless they mean, "since the beginning of the time that this was true." Eisenhower was elected in his own right to two consecutive terms, and served both terms -- and was the first Republican to do so since Ulysses Grant.

Never gonna get a GOP victory unless they run a Tea Party Conservative. The GOPe of the Bush Dynasty will never get re-elected.

Our choices for 2016 will be full left via the democrats, or slightly full left via the republicans.

Same crap sammich we were served in 2012, eh? I think if the elites try it again in 2016, the right half of the country is going to revolt.

We've had enough.

I believe the American people are ready
to vote for “something” instead of against
a proven failure.
The approval numbers are in the toilet.
A party with a solid party platform of
common sense reform is what I believe
the people are hungry for.
I think others can certainly name the issues I'm
talking about here.
I'll start with aggressive action toward
energy independence.
I do not believe there is anything that
would revive the economy faster.
Obamacare must be repealed, it is
destroying business.
People are ripe for aggressive action not
just political posturing to hold on to power.
We need a strong party that can gain momentum fast.
And yes start at the grassroots.
