Senator Mark Kirk: Booze and Boat Parties Smoothed BiPartisan Gun Deal

Dancing with the devil…

The Washington Times reports the following:

Sen. Mark Kirk says the real driving force behind the gun deal that was hatched by bipartisan work was booze and boat retreats.

The Illinois Republican said to reporters that visits to the Black Tie, a yacht owned by Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin, played a large role in the Democratic-Republican come-together over background checks and other legislation related to gun control, Roll Call reported.

“You guys really ought to go out to National Harbor and see the Black Tie, which has been much of the reason for much of the bipartisan cooperation around here,” he said, as quoted in Roll Call.

Frequent visitors to the luxury vessel: Democrat Sen. Kay Hagan and Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski, Mr. Kirk said.

“Sometimes alcoholic beverages might be served and ties might … get loosened,” he said, in Roll Call.

Mr. Manchin and Mr. Kirk are known in the Senate as great friends, both in and out of office, Roll Call said.....

True, yet I don’t see how this is going to end up being a positive experience. I just don’t see our side doing a dang thing other than chasing after the latest new crisis. Other than a couple Senators who are strong and vocal, the majority is mute. Which in the real world, translates to people who don’t follow the truth of what’s unfolding, either clueless or discouraged.

How would there ever be a strong response to any of this if people are clueless? I am asking this in all seriousness, I can’t see how this changes!

When does it arrive? I have a feeling that we, as a collective, are willing to put up with pretty much...well anything. Fact is, half of the US is made up of liberals who are morally/spiritually blind and beholden to the government.

Actually this is going to be absolutely awesome time. Very few American generations have gotten to participate in what we all know is coming. Gonna be incredible.

Hard to conceal the raw anticipation...........

We are in a much stronger position then our founding fathers were. Imagine what they had to put up with. No electricity. Had to use Paul Revere to warn the British were coming. Talk about being mute. Very few people could become involved back then because they were still busy with sustenance farming.

All rounded up into cities that will mostly burn down. Not saying it should happen, but most SHTF scenarios predict it will happen. The cities will burn. Watched Los Angeles burning during those riots.

From the same place other political families get their money, from graft, pay-offs and corruption.

This is one reason why they’re all dead to me. Our precious Constitutional rights have been bargained away over martinis.

Eff ‘em all.

If the Norks are for real, I’d like to request they drop a fat one on the Capitol building.

So much for the credibility of the 16 senators. Not that they had much anyway....

Which is why I think I’d feel safer being even 20 miles further from the city than I currently am. The suburbs of Chicago that used to be pretty safe now all have their own hot spots of urban sprawl.
