Biden: 'There Should Be 2 Senators from State of D.C.': Compares woman to "a snake in the bed."

Last night in Washington, Joe Biden stated that abused women fear getting "raped again by the system." He also made the push that Washington, D.C. should be its own state, with two U.S. senators.

Via the pool report:

Piles of Bidens are here. In addition to Kathleen [Biden's daughter], VP Biden's wife Jill, his sons Beau and Hunter, and his granddaughters Maisy and Finnegan are also here.

VP Biden began his remarks by praising Kathleen for the passion she brings to the cause. He described his initial push for VAWA in the early 90s, when "nobody thought very much of it," including women's groups. Biden singled out D.C. delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton for her help in getting it passed -- and gave a plug to D.C. having equal representation in Congress.

"By the way, there should be two senators from the state of D.C.," he said to hoots and hollers.

Two new U.S. senators from Washington, D.C. would almost surely be Democrats. In the last presidential election, President Obama picked up 91.4 percent of the vote in Washington, D.C.; Mitt Romney picked up only 7.1 percent....

If it weren’t for that pesky Constitution and those meddling kids and their stupid dog, biden could get away with such idiocy.

DC is 67 square miles. It should not be a state and Constitutionally, cannot be. The district can be made part of Maryland for representative purposes, though they already have a delegate in the House.

Since The U.S. Constitution is the deciding factor on the foundation of “The District of Columbia”, and that it is, via The Constitution, under direct Congressional control, to have “that smart man Biden” declare that Washington, D.C., should be a ‘state’, is in error.

DC a state? Well that must be the 56th, now if they could only tell us where number 57 is.

I live in DC, and there is a constant push among DC residents for DC statehood. I’m completely opposed even though I’m a DC resident.

First, Maryland and Virginia both ceded land to create a federal district to house the federal government. It was never intended for DC to be a state, and it would be unfair to Maryland and Virginia who lost land.

Second, and more importantly, DC is a Democrat cesspool. It’s filled with poor blacks who want handouts, and Limousine Liberals who want to hold high-salaried government job. The state of DC would be a guaranteed two more Democrat Senators, and a Democrat rep. Like the DC Council, these Congressmen would likely be corrupt, often anti-white Democrats.

"Virginia who lost land."

I think VA "forgot" to cede their fair share of land.

Why sure Joe - just go ahead and amend The Constitution.

Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution stating:

To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful buildings.[6]

If it is no longer problematic for the residents of the capital district to vote, Washington should be retroceded to Maryland, the way Alexandria (which was part of the original capital district) was retroceded to Virginia. Maryland, I understand, might not like it (because DC is a money hole). So, an amount of money could be offered. Congress should decide the amount. Maryland would also gain a Congressman. Federal property in Washington, MD, would be protected by McCulloch v Maryland (appropriately enough).

It seems, per Geo. Mason, that DC already has about 95 senators. They certainly don’t represent the interests of the American people.

He spoke of the wonders of having granddaughters: "All you women out there: Daughters are wonderful. Granddaughters are betters." He lamented, though, that they grow up.

"When they're 12 to 14, a dad puts his beautiful little daughter to bed. And then the next morning, there's a snake in the bed."

Ewwwwwww! He's a sicko.

Putting your daughter to bed at night to find a snake in the bed in the morning?

What the hell is he even trying to say? The man has some form of dementia.
