Bauer high on Palin for Senate
OneNewsNow ^ | May 16, 2013 | Chad Groening

Conservative activist and political pundit Gary Bauer believes former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin would make a "fantastic" United States senator.

A recent Republican survey showed the high-profile former GOP vice-presidential nominee with a two-percent edge (32% to 30%) over Alaska Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell for the right to challenge incumbent Democratic Senator Mark Begich next year. Joe Miller, the tea party-backed nominee in 2010, finished a distant third with 14 percent.

The poll was commissioned by the Tea Party Leadership Fund, which is hoping to convince Palin to enter the race. Thus far she has not expressed any public interest in running, though she has not ruled it out. But Gary Bauer of American Values likes the idea.

"I am a tremendous supporter of and fan of Sarah Palin," he tells OneNewsNow. "I think she is a unique person in American politics. I think a lot of her blue-collar, populist, conservative message is exactly what the national Republican Party needs right now."

Bauer admits, however, that he does not know enough about Alaska politics to gauge how she might be perceived in an actual election campaign.....

I would love to see Palin in the Senate. She would be fantastic in joining Cruz, Lee, Paul, and sometimes Rubio.

The Senate would be a waste of her talent.

The White House is where she is needed.

Alaska voted for Murcowski. Would a State that elected that POS vote for Sarah?

A question not lost on Sarah, who isn't going to hop into a meat grinder.

The same state voted for Jan Brewer and Juan McStain. The same state votes for Chuck Grassley and Tom Harkin. The same state voted for Nancy Pelosi and Ronald Reagan.

No beeotch slapping the EGOP for the 3rd time ( 2010, 2012, 2014 ) would be grand, especially if she sends 4 or 5 reinforcements for Cruz, Lee, Paul and the sometimes Rubio. McConnell would reach for the Kaopectate, and The EGOP / RNC would reach for the Mylanta.

Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch, but my point is, she can do more from the outside than becoming an inside player..

Unless of Course she Challenges McConnell for the Senate Majority Leadership Position...

Just for fun, imagine the first woman majority leader on her first day! Akin to Henry Clay’s being elected Speaker on his first day in Congress.

Her weak poll numbers are surprising, given the media attention she has garnered.

Because he’d rather see her in the senate than in the White House.

I agree, but only because of Paul, Cruz, and Lee already being there. They have shown that you can bring some sizzle to boringville. Maybe we need to add to their roster. The initial reaction is that she would be wasted there, but maybe that’s because of the Bob Dull, Trent Lott, Bill Frist, Mitch McConnell boring leadership we have had.

One step at a time.

Besides that, no Republican conservative can win the White House, as long as the takers are in charge.

And on that subject, O and his rat party are in charge making sure there are more and more takers. Lots more rat takers.

She can effect a lot of good change in the Senate! And she has plenty of time to run for the Presidency; she's young, yet.

She has plenty of time, I agree.

But our nation does not.

Three more years of Zippy, followed by Hillary or a RINO, will be the end of America as we know it.

She is the only person with personal and moral integrity this nation needs to get back on track.

Plus, the wailing of the liberals will be so worth it.
