Why Kristol symbolizes everything wrong w/GOP: Thinks Palin doesn’t have a future’ in U.S. politics

Bill Kristol once referred to himself as a “squish”

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

Yet for some reason the GOP establishment holds Kristol in high regard when I think the man projects the intestinal fortitude of a sponge.

Kristol is what passes for masculine strength in today’s Republican Party. So it’s no wonder the Party has become a collection of cream puffs who have abandoned their conservative principles.

The only time the GOP shows some fight is when they attack conservatives. They never seem to muster that kind of moxie against Barack Obama and the Democrats. But, with conservative Republicans they become junkyard dogs.

So somebody must’ve gotten to Kristol to take Sarah Palin down a peg.

The Raw Story reports Republican political strategist and Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol appeared on “Morning Joe” Tuesday morning to walk back statements he made to ABC Online on Sunday regarding the political fortunes of erstwhile Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R). Whereas two days ago, Kristol said that Palin could “resurrect herself” politically by way of a run for U.S. Senate, Tuesday morning he was far less sanguine about her prospects, saying that she does not “have a future” in politics.

Kristol was one of Palin’s earliest advocates in the Republican Party, which he said in the Sunday interview, but added that her decision to quit the governorship in the middle of her first term was a poor choice for someone who hopes to secure a job in government.

However, he said, “I think the way Palin would possibly....

I don’t know many conservatives that take Bill Kristol seriously anymore. It’s been a long while since he lost his fastball!

He went up to Alaska and found her for McCain. Maybe he is trying to challenge her into running for something.

Kristol is the liberal on FOX “News” with liberal
pro-Obama Hume.

Astonishingly, FOX “News” is so pro Obama
and so pro al Qaeda, that the MOST CONSERVATIVE
commentator ... is Juan Williams.

Kristol is to the LEFT of Juan Williams.

Here’s what I’d like to see her do. Win a Senate seat, but not to pass legislation, to throw a money wrench into the whole corrupt mess.

Expose all the back room dealing that goes on behind the public lies. Just generally let some sunshine into the infected puss filled boil on the backside of the country.

Krystol belongs to the same club as Lindsey Graham, if u know what I mean. I don’t pay any attention to what he has to say.

Will these stupid establishment Republicans shake themselves and please wake the hell up. Watching this constant GOP circular firing squad is tiring.

It's been a long while since he lost his fastball.

He's now a connoisseur of the screwball.

Can anyone imagine a Dem pundit saying something like that about a prominent Democrat? The GOP loves to form circular firing squads.

I like her but not enough to put her in a top spot. I think she would be far more effective to put her name and energies into one of the better organized 3rd parties and get some genuine competition in place. May not do a lot for her ambitions, what ever that would be, but could do wonders for the country.

PDS is obviously eternal. What made this jerk think of Palin? Does Romney have a political future? That thought would never enter his mind because he’s enamored with Palin 24/7.

Kristol would panic riding a pony with an adult leading it.

You have no idea about her ambitions. She already did too much for this country. Stick w/obama, you deserve him.

I just don’t understand why she doesn’t call their bluff. She hints and seems to want to run for something but does not take the step to do so. Maybe keeping her cards close to her chest is best. She is right 99.99 percent of the time.

This is actually very correct. When you think of the essense of the GOP, don’t think of Boehner or Christie...think instead of Bill Kriston. Mealy-mouthed, paid to say whatever makes him the most money, insider, elitist - the archetype inside the Beltway no-balls, no power, go-along to get-along type. That is exactly right.

Kristol's a neocon, with emphasis on 'con'.

Has he walked back his undying support of the useless Iraq and Afghanistan invasions and subsequent lame and impossible attempts at nation-building?

I remember he said some very nice things about her back then. He said she was a shrewd politician amongst other compliments.

I am not a Kristol fan, but I still do not think he dislikes Palin.
