After doubling-down on hate, Brauer performed an abrupt about-face and apologized:

Reporter Chris Moody solicited a statement on Brauer’s repulsive comments from the state Democratic Party. It is simply amazing:
The “problem” with wishing death upon a political opponent’s children, you see, is that it lets “fringe” characters like Sen. Ted Cruz “off the hook.” Remarkable.
UPDATE – This guy just keeps digging. His responses to, and about, women are especially vile.
UPDATE II – The Sacramento Dems aren’t answering their phones. I called the state party to ask if they think Brauer should be fired, and to challenge them on their official statement. I was transferred to voicemail by the receptionist, who told me the lines were “flooded” and “going crazy right now.” Today might end up being a very bad day for one Allan Brauer.

The fact Cruz is so unpopular with dems and RINOs is testimony to the fact he’s doing the right thing. His and Lee’s efforts in the past several weeks are the prime driver for the House getting to this point it is today.
Seems like he was saying it is just not good strategy without taking any exception with the contents of the comment. California Democrat Party must be a very nasty group.
According to twitchy, he’s been fired. Also, if you’re going to respond, spell his name correctly. Somewhat Navy vet has been getting a lot of hate, and apologies, because of a similar name.

Believe me; the California Demonrat Party would kill every conservative in this state if they thought they could get away with it easily.
The only reason they haven’t tried it yet is they know we will not get into the cattle-cars for transport willingly.
We will not go into the camps, their gas chambers or their crematoria quietly. We will fight; and most of us are a lot better armed than the average LIB/PROG/COMMUNIST/DEMOCRAT in this state.
