POLL: GOP could lose House in 2014

Obstructionism may play well for House Republicans in safely red districts, but a poll done this week suggests that the government shutdown may actually hurt Representatives in competitive districts. In a poll conducted in 24 House districts over Wednesday, Thursday and Friday by Public Policy Polling, registered voters in 17 of those districts favored a generic Democratic challenger over the incumbent Republican. The Democrats would need to win 17 seats in the 2014 midterm elections to take control of the House. Republicans have felt the brunt of the public’s anger for the standoff over the government shutdown. Polls released last week by CBS and Fox showed that Americans blame Republicans for the shutdown by a wide margin. Progressive organizations like MoveOn.org, which paid for the PPP poll, are already preparing to make a push to retake the house, although the general election is still more than a year away.

A PPP poll payed for by moveon.org pushing to remove the republicans next year and reported by msnbc? What could possibly be wrong with such a poll? Rolls eyes.

I’m inclined to agree with you on that.

The insane ugliness and absurdity of the Dems words and actions right now is IMO a sign of panic setting in. I could be wrong, we are dealing with an organization of sadistic sociopaths and pathological liars, which does muddy the waters somewhat.

A PPP propaganda poll, paid for by Moveon.org and touted by msnbc, how much more neutral could it get?

It's like polling in the ghetto and axing how obama is doing his yob.

MSNBC touts this unreliable poll but ignores the Gallup poll showing Obama at one of his lowest favorable ratings ever.

Nice reporting.

They COULD lose the House. If they cram amnesty down our throats in some “grand bargain” and cause every last one of us to stay at home on the couch next November.

Scary that these clowns rank as one of the Top Five Sources for news amongst Millennials (just behind Jon Stewart and Comedy Central)

There will be no amnesty (at least before the 2014 election). Current events have taken care of that. There won’t be enough time left and then we are off to the 2014 races.

The dilemma is: do we anger the big money donors and have less money for attack ads and robo-calls, or do we anger the base and have no votes at all.

I understand through a little bird, that the REPS are sitting on quite a bit of Benghazi and IRS information until after the first of the year. They want to make sure they have the full attention of the people leading into the fall election, making these issues front and center. Don’t know for sure but sounds pretty reasonable.

The communists are scared to death that they may win the House in 2014 and America will become just like North Korea, Cuba and the old Soviet Union. There will be no one around to prevent them from destroying the country.

I think it’s time we drove home the point that big money robocalls can’t force us to get out and vote, don’t you?

Benghazi is pretty much irrelvant at this point. It’s been too long and there were “only” four deaths. That combined with how the MSM will carry the Administration’s water in it means any attempt to sway undecided voters isn’t going to go anywhere.

The best that can be hoped for is that a Democrat in the 2016 primaries might be able to damage Hillary with it.

Same is pretty much true with the IRS. The public just doesn’t care, and won’t care. The potential upside tho is that it can probably be leveraged to tick off and motivate the base, including the various Conservative orgs that were targeted.

MSNBC is reporting this? Well this would be their wet dream. But really win or lose the house, this stand must be taken.
