GOP upset in my Conn. inner-city ward race (Conn. Live Thread)
https://www.facebook.com/don.naples.9 ^

Posted on 11/05/2013 8:04:45 PM PST by campaignPete R-CT

Just got back from victory party. In DEM Conn., in a DEM city in the inner-city (a welfare ward largely consisting of 3-family houses) GOP Don Naples upsets DEM incumbent Freeman ... so we have a new alderman.

Naples 194 Freeman 171

If we can win here ... there is hope for America.

More bad news, VA AG going to recount, late counting has the rat up by 600. Unacceptable.

Doesn't it always seem to happen in VA that the vote counting is tampered with so that the 'Rat "comes from behind" to win out?

If Cuccinelli couldn't win his race, he could at least see to it as outgoing AG that his successor isn't put in place by cheating!

“...The new GOP-Mayor elect....is GAY....”

Oh! It’s GOOD to have a Mayor who’s “carefree, lighthearted, and happy”...

Or it used to be... I dunno...

Most recent count in VA AG race has Republican Obenshain up by over 1,100 votes:

Bill DeBlasio: A rabid BOS RS fan, and NYC still voted 3:1 for him.

That’s 100% of the precincts in now. Obenshain leads by 1069. Don’t know if that includes absentees. There will be a recount.

Per politics.com Polls (by “St Pete Polls”) in the Florida special give rat Alex “The Fink” Stink a huge lead over both Lobbyist and Former (Young?) Aide David Jolly and Former Clearwater Mayor Frank Hibbard.

They found some more votes and now the rat Herring is up by THIRTY TWO votes. I’m starting to get pissed off.

It’s neat how they always find missing votes for Democrats. It’s like they’ve been hiding out somewhere, in basements, in trunks of cars, closets, in toilet tanks, underneath caskets in cemetery plots... almost like the votes themselves are too embarrassed to be cast for Democrats and don’t ever want to see the light of day.

I chucked at that even though I am filling with rage.

Ballot initiative news, 5 of the 11 Northern Colorado counties where it was on the ballot voted to “explore secession”.

http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_24461077/11-counties-weigh-secession-from-colorado-formation-51st

More importantly that tax hike FOR THE CHILDRENS was defeated by a 30 point margin!!!!!

http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_24462841/voters-reject-big-tax-hike-school-finance-measure

<<<”For some people, Amendment 66 was only about taxes,” Hickenlooper said after conceding defeat. “For others, it was about investing in and sacrificing for our most valuable resource: our children.<<<<<

And also they voted to tax weed.

Washington State rejected a neo-luddite proposal to label genetically modified food.

NY voted to allow new non-Indian Casinos, many socially conservative freeper may oppose that but

A)It’s only fair. It’s not right if Indians can open casinos and no one else.
B)Gambling is voluntary, a good source of tax money without screwing over the people.

NJ voted in favor of a STATE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT to raise the minimum wage.

Long Island local elections, Nassau County Exec Ed Mangano (R) wins reelection. The GOP also reelects it’s Clerk and Comptroller and gain in the already controlled legislature. Rat DA is reelected.

Rats keep a large edge in the Suffolk legislature.

Good news in New York state, Republican held four key county executive posts and in only one were the results even close. That includes liberal Westchester County.

Republicans probably won another seat in the state Senate. Mail-in ballots will decide the outcome.

In Virginia, Democrats made virtually no gains in the state legislature.

Bits of good news to lessen the taste of the sh*t sandwich that was the VA gov. election.

Thanks for the info!

Rats pickup Mayoralties in St. Pete Florida,

both candidates of St Pete are friends, but the big issues in St Pete was the Pier and the Tampa Bay Rays (which were bungled by Foster). The Pier is an icon, but the mayor spent taxpayers $$$ on a commission to build a new pier (which was UGLY) and he didn't want the Rays to move to Tampa until a few months ago. (He finally said that the Rays can look at Tampa.)

I think the new mayor of St Pete will not do anything wrong... Tampa's mayor is a Democrat and he is good!

Despite the closeness of Ken Cucinelli, yesterday was a bad night for conservatives. In AL, Byrne won. Mitch McConnell must be jumping for joy at that news. The NJ GOP made no gains in the NJ Assembly. We lost the Mayor races in Charlotte and Greensboro in NC. Quinn and Madigan twisted enough arms to legalize gay marriage.

Also Chris Barron of GOP-Proud (gay conservative group) tweeted that he voted for Terry McAwful because Cucinelli was David Duke to him.

You wrote this right after a paragraph about NY, so I’ve been searching like crazy for a special election of the NY Senate that I hadn’t heard of, when I realized that you must be talking about the WA Senate. A “WA” would have been nice. : )
