Bernard Goldberg joined Bill OReilly Monday night to address what he believes is a potentially fatal split in the Republican partys immediate future. He said that if the tea party keeps rejecting anyone who isnt basically Ted Cruz for the 2016 presidential nomination, the partys going to be in some big trouble and invite in a strong Democratic victory.
OReilly framed the fight as a classic moderate Republican versus hard-right Republican feud, and Goldberg rejected the ideological rigidity of people who will sit on their hands and refuse to vote for a Republican presidential nominee if they arent sufficiently conservative enough. And this is what led Goldberg to accuse these tea partiers of being the real RINOs in the GOP.
As far as the tea partiers are concerned, anybody to the left of Ted Cruz is a RINO but you know what? The real RINOs are the real people in the tea party and on the hard right, because they have made it clear over and over again that their allegiance is not to the Republican party, but to their particular brand of conservatism, so theyre the RINOs.
OReilly suggested Cruz, if he ran, could rally the nation behind him if Obamacare continues to be a disaster, but Goldberg said anything short of horrendously bad will not be enough to help them. He also warned that if someone like Cruz gets the nomination, every registered Democrat will vote, and thats a recipe for a Democratic victory?

Another sidenote to Krispy Kreme. What these two idiots - BOR and Goldberg - fail to take into account is the New York press. I bet anyone a dollar to a donut that the NY Times has a file on Christie about as thick as he is. They will cheer him on for the nomination and once he gets it, all kinds of excrement will hit the fan. He will not know what hit him. They did the same thing to that guy Bush put up for DHS Secretary - the guy who was head of NY Police. The NY press probably does this all the time.
No.
In the *moment* a new party is established, with Cruz or Palin or both on the ticket, the GOP is history. And so, for that matter, are the dems.
And as luck would have it, the new party establishment infrastructure has already been set in place, with Palin’s State campaign orgs, which have probably not been completely idle.
Better use what you have, gents, while you still have the freedom to vote. It will be gone soon enough.
I've been saying this for a while now. The term "RINO" is not accurate. The vischy republicans own the republican party. Squishy, socialism-lite is what the party "stands" for. The people we oppose are actually "CINO", that is Conservative In Name Only. Folks like McCain, or Perry talk up their 'conservativeness' in the run up to elections, then switch back to form once the election is over. They are republicans, but CINO. Anyone who was paying attention to Virginia will know that the republican party is not on our side, and never really has been.
When you look hard enough, it all comes down to crony capitalism. Both sides play this games, because it makes them millionaires. The leviathan government that has been thrust upon us exists because in such a government, it is easy to reward your friends and punish your enemies. Look at Obama. He has taken crony capitalism to an extreme, yet the vast majority haven't even noticed.
“Tea Partiers Are The Real Rinos In The GOP”
I don’t take issue with that particular statement, because it’s correct. What does “RINO” stand for, anyway? “Republican In Name Only.” Well, we know what the GOP is: a bunch of statist quislings. We have nothing in common with them, and we are, in fact, conservatives, not Republicans. THEY are Republican, not conservative.
As I have said before, either a new third party or primary all RINOs. If the RINOs still win, vote for the DEMOCRAT. This will guarantee a loss for the RINOs. The Conservatives will now control the smaller Republican party and can shape it how they want.
We must play hardball. Change is hard, but you have to START before you can win.
One wonders if we need to rename Fox News, Republican News.
Call me whatever you want, but seems like it might be sinking in finally.
That is good tag material.
