Appearing on FoxNews' "Your World with Neil Cavuto" Tuesday, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell reiterated his support of the Tea Party movement. Let me make it clear," McConnell told Cavuto. "I'm a big fan of the tea party movement. I think it's been extremely important in helping us regain the House and do well in the Senate in 2010."
McConnell had sparked controversy at the end of the November when he seemed to suggest on a conference call with donors that the Tea Party were "bullies" that he planned to "punch...in the nose."
"There is one particular organization that I was talking about, which I think has been counterproductive, but I think the movement in general has been very positive," McConnell said on Tuesday. The Senate Conservative Fund, which was originally founded by former Sen. Jim DeMint, has been aggressive in opposing McConnell in next year's primary.......

Mitch likes Tea Party to be used as the 'useful idiots', that got GOP into regaining control of House and more seats in Senate. Otherwise, they are to be used as punching bags.
What’s he gonna say next? That he’s a severe fan? Especially of the Eric Clapner wing of the Tea Party?
He's on the outside looking in, you see.
Where is he holding the knife?
Then back the TEA Party candidate running against you in the primary, Mitch.
Hey Mitch, John McCain is not exactly a founding member of the Tea Party. What does that have to do with anything you might ask? You haven’t a clue what the Tea Party is all about. You just keep pulling levers to see if you can get some support from them.
Gotta give him that tiny bit of ‘honesty’.
IF Mitch Connell had said he was part of the Tea Party or tea party movement, nobody would have believed him.
Trying to split a hair between the TEA party and the SCF requires a sharper mind than Mitch will ever have. FUMM. We see through you and you can start counting the days to retirement and the cozy, lucrative lobbyist career that will likely follow
LIAR . he has been in DC too long and around Reid and O waaaaay too long
“Then back the TEA Party candidate running against you in the primary, Mitch.”
Hey, ecumenical feelings do not extend THAT far.
And the tooth fairy is real, too. Mitch McConnell has as good as read the T.E.A. party people out of the party, only very recently he would have nothing to do with them, as they are “too radical” for his taste.
“My way or the highway” is only a feasible alternative if there IS a highway. “My way” only ends up in a fever swamp somewhere.
I wonder how close he came to saying he was a real teabagger?
Mitch is just a cherry picking fan, in lieu of being a conservative leader as a senior (R) US Senator. Thanks for nothing, Mitch. You might as we’ll be a head of cabbage. At least then you would have some usefulness.
so this ass hat is a liar just like obammy
"Fan" = Not actually on the team.
Back into your shell turtle head, you're not fooling anyone.
