Posted on 03/16/2014 7:00:40 PM PDT by Cruz_West_Paul2016

With very high prospects of the GOP taking the Senate come November,in the meantime we will be debating who will be the Senate Majority Leader. With Cruz and Paul as the clear leaders for 2016,would we want either candidate to head the senate in the meantime?,This would give Paul or Cruz a head start to taking the Presidency in 2016.Can you just imagine all of the media press, the day it's announced:Our Top Story This Evening on Fox News,Ted Cruz has been elected the New Leader Of The Senate. Now how would CNN/MSNBC cover the story,or, "Will They Even Cover The Big Story"?

Either one is ok with me as long as reid’s office is moved to the stinking slimy sewer where he will be among friends.

Unfortunately, with the CURRENT make-up of the Senate, it’s going to be very hard to get a REAL conservative to the Majority Leader... Other states are going to have to send them some help...

No way they will pick either one. The hate Cruz and are not fond of Paul. Zero chance it’s either if GOP takes the Senate.

Unfortunately, if McConnell is defeated, it will likely pass to Cornball.

The interesting factor will be that the Republicans will probably LOSE McConnell’s seat: he is leading his tea-party opponent, but losing to his Democrat opponent. Imagine if the only sriously contested seat that the Republicans lose is McConnell’s?

LOL. Majority Leader... Cruz or Paul... MSNBC would report that the entire Senate was captured by space aliens, and all senators are on a saucer headed to the nearest wormhole for transport to another galaxy... Then no more mention of the Senate...

Jeff Sessions should be majority leader.

He’s moderate enough to be leader. No-one seems to attack him except Grover Norquist on immigration.

THE FIRST FEMALE MAJORITY LEADER: SUSAN COLLINS!!!!!

If we don’t get a couple more conservative Senators elected they’ll do it. I swear they will.

Running for President as a sitting Senate Majority leader is a fools errand. This election, running as a Senator isn’t going to cut it. A Governor, and one that isn’t a fat Rino.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Honestly, if I was offered that deal right now, to have the Senate Majority but with Susan Collins as Leader, I would take it.

The rats are targeting Lee, which tells me he’s in contention for SML.

Well, they’ll do it.
They’re convinced the Party just needs a ‘woman’s face’.

If we got 10 or so more conservatives in the House and could elect a conservative Leadership I wouldn’t mind Collins. Otherwise though she’d be a disaster.

Yeah, slightly better than Reid. But then any of them would be.

Majority Leader Collins would be OK to lull the opposition temporarily into a false sense of compromise.

Then, under President Cruz, we could make Senator Palin from Arizona the Majority Leader.

Honestly I think Cruz presidential chances would be better served by 2 years of fighting borrow-and-spend Reid than borrow-and-spend Collins.

Agreed. But you had to read the whole exchange. The premise was: If you were offered a deal right now that the Republicans would win the Senate back in 2014, but with that comes the stipulation that Susan Collins would be the Majority Leader, would you take it?

I said I would.

But a Republican Senate majority would make the judicial appointment process much more favorable.

Plus, IMO, if we got a Senate majority, I believe a lot of our RINOs wouldn’t be quite so RINO-y.
