With Chris Christie in deep trouble, Republican poobahs are reportedly looking to Jeb Bush to save their party in 2016. The former two-term governor of Florida speaks fluent Spanish, is a convert to Catholicism, and has high name recognition. Jeb could raise millions of dollars over night by just saying yes to running.
Despite all this, there are strong reasons Republicans should say no to him.
1. His last name is poison.
Lets face it, if Jeb Bush had the last name of Something Else he would have already run for president in 2008 or 2012. According to a recent Washington Post/ABC News poll registered voters were asked if they would definitely NOT vote for Jeb Bush and 50 percent said they would not. Among Independents the results were 49 percent and even 18 percent of Republicans said the same.
These poll results prove that the legacy of George W. Bush continues to have a negative effect on his brothers political future.
2. Jeb would split the party
Conservative activists/Tea Party Republicans who are the majority of GOP primary voters are not lining up for Jeb 2016 due to his support for Common Core academic standards and his support for amnesty immigration legislation. FKA Ripon Republicans.
Bet he ends up like McCain and Romney too. A loser.

If you like your Bush, you can keep him. Period.
I bet you’re right, unfortunately.
Moderate = “I can be flexible after the election”
Re your post 10, that’s the only ticket that I would vote for. And I do mean “only.”
If they are stupid enough to nominate another Bush, they will go down in flames again. I will never leave the house to vote for him or for Christie.
I say “no.”
Does an article need to be written? Are the reasons not obvious? Nominating Jeb would be worst idea since “Whip Inflation Now”.
The GOPe will run Jeb KNOWING he will lose....they have proven over and over that they would rather have democrats elected to office over Conservatives.
Worse yet...Jeb will gladly be their tool.
It would be a victory for RINOs. They'd rather lose the election AGAIN than cede power to constitutional conservatives.
A much bigger problem would be the daughter Noelle's passed drug arrests.
There’s enough potential candidates of quality that talking about this turkey isn’t necessary.
Cruz, Rande, Walker, Pence, ARod, Putin - Jebediah Arbusto isn’t needed.
I remember both the customs and drug stuff well. Although, with an idiotic majority electorate, those are now perceived as “strengths”...
