In all fairness, this was evidently shorthand for “they considered her not human.” It’s eastern-speak to exaggerate for dramatic effect. Not smart, though.

Palin's stable marriage, her obvious love for her children and most of all, her conservative political views, made her 'fair game' for the leftist character assassins because she was, in their jaundiced view, an alien creature that warranted elimination before she influenced others.
Palin was gravely wounded in one sense but recovered and if not a viable political candidate right now, may yet be. Especially as America feels the pain of the socialist schemes being foisted upon us by Obama and the Democrats.

Trig REALLY upsets leftists. It’s amazing, even my “benchmark libinlaw” mentioned “that baby” as one of the reasons they hated her.
I have an inkling as to why, as well. They know they would have murdered him and Sarah’s decision points that out. They don’t LIKE to have their sin pointed out to them.
Trig was very definitely the watershed in the hate campaign, a thing I found, and continue to find, profoundly disturbing. Do you recall the moment in the first Lord of the Rings movie where Bilbo talks of the Ring and for a terrifying second he has sharp teeth and a maniacal expression? I saw that in some of my liberal acquaintances when the conversation turned to Trig Palin. They regard his very existence as an affront. It is the face of evil.
I no longer have Dish or cable, so I can’t watch The Five. Did Beckels head explode when they talked about shrillery?

The 3/5 rule was actually an anti-slavery position of the North to try and limit the South’s representation in the House; i.e., not allowing slaves to be counted as full persons lowered their population count.
