That is very depressing news.
This happens only because we allow the state to pay for our primary election.
There is no reason the Republican Party - in any state - has to live with “open” primaries.
If we pay for and manage our own primaries, we can write the voting rules any way we want to.
Is that what determines whether it’s open? True in other states as well, I wonder?
