Newt Gingrich: Obama’s upcoming executive order on amnesty will start a civil war in his own party

Via RCP, I want to believe it, I almost believe it — but I don’t really believe it. All the makings of a Democratic clusterfark are there. If O legalizes five million workers, plenty of blue-collar Democrats are bound to put two and two together and wonder what that means for their wages. And plenty of Democratic Senate incumbents in red states, like, oh, let’s say Mark Pryor, are going to panic, knowing what could happen if the backlash among conservatives is as ferocious as everyone expects. In fact, as Newt alludes to, both Pryor and North Carolina’s Kay Hagan have already come out against executive amnesty and Mary Landrieu and Mark Begich don’t seem so hot about the idea either. There’s certainly a chance that O will open the floodgates on amnesty and the Hagans and Begiches will end up drowning in November. A decent GOP election night of say, six pick-ups in the Senate might balloon to eight or nine.

But I think Democrats are willing to make that trade, even if the Hagans and Begiches aren’t. Obama, Reid, and Pelosi played the long game once before when they were staring down the barrel of a tough midterm, remember. They passed ObamaCare in 2010 despite poll after poll showing public anxiety about the law and they got swamped that November because of it. But even so, and for all their whining about gridlock and GOP obstructionism, I think they’d do it again. They lost the House but gained universal health care; I suspect they’re willing to lose the Senate next year in the name of cementing Latino voters’ loyalty to the Democratic Party in 2016 and beyond. I won’t believe there’s any grassroots blue-collar Democratic backlash brewing either until I see it with my own eyes. The party’s stuck with Obama through everything so far — a perpetually disappointing economic recovery, the Healthcare.gov disaster, and one unsolvable foreign-policy crisis after another. There’s a reason his job approval tends to go no lower than 42 percent or so, the occasional one-day or one-week dip below that number notwithstanding. The entire Democratic leadership in Congress will back him to the hilt on executive amnesty, a few scattered objections from Landrieu and Pryor et al. aside. And of course there’ll be accusations of racism and phony worries about impeachment articulated as necessary, just to remind easily-led liberals in the base that the GOP is evil and opposing Obama’s policies makes you an accomplice to that evil. Democratic voters will fall in line. There’s not going to be a civil war, although there might be a midterm rout. Good enough?

That depends on what the executive order(s) contain, now doesn't it?

will start a civil war in just HIS party? This could be the spark we all do not want to see happen but seems being asked for by Mullah Obama

I think there are different reasons why people remain committed to the Democrat party. One of those reasons is the expectation that they’re going to help the poor. Some of them primarily think that’s the governments job, not surprisingly, since they’ve been told this for fifty years. But the ones who work know that an oversupply of cheap labor keeps labor costs low for unskilled workers, allegedly a Democrat constiguency. We do see a strange alliance, too, on this issue with the Chamber of Commerce and other putative Republican allies lined up with Obama to try to get more cheap labor to come to the US.

Just saw a news piece on Marine SGT. Tamarisi who has been in a Mexican Jail for almost a half year.

Kerry is secretary of state, why has he not taken care of getting the Marine back home.

Tamarisi has PTSD and was beaten up several times in Mexican Jail. His human rights have been ignored, and his lawyers have been denied key evidence against him.

I think BB should tell Kerry to mind his own business, and do his job starting with Mexico.

This should be a case in the Israeli press every day.
If the USA can poke its nose into Israeli affairs then Jpost and the Israeli government should keep up with what Kerry has truly failed at with Mexico.

Politics make strange bedfellows.

But there's not a dime's worth of difference between Democrat and Republican.

The White Middle-Class Conservative American citizen is being replaced by third world illiterates who are already conditioned to be slaves.

Why would the MarxoFascist Democrats fight over that? It’s what they have been working towards anyway. All the demonization simply makes it easier to eradicate the targeted population the Regime wants gone.

We are being replaced. Deliberately.

A Democrat civil war over immigration?

That is not going to happen.

Democrats in close elections will pretend they are upset.

After the votes are counted, we will never hear another word.

We know one thing for certain; it won’t be good for U.S. citizens who actually pay their taxes.

> Democratic voters don’t care as long as the welfare checks keep coming

They’ve sucked the middle class so dry I predict there will be a massive number of non-filers next year who simply can’t pay both their taxes and the penalties for not buying Obamacare. I predict an enormous shortfall from people that have been laid off as well. The amount of shortfall I’d going to be unprecented which means the gov is going to be forced to either borrow more money, lower the benefits or both. Either way there’s going to be some panic within DC. People are going to see the real effects of socialism at work then and realize what Obama has really done IMO. It’s not going to be pretty.

There was a recent story about Mexico going onto the silver standard [soon-ish]; if that's the case then I expect the Peso to be worth more than a dime [soon].

Obama. What a fool. A very dangerous, powerful, and deadly fool.

Obama: Doesn't he realize that his life AFTER the White House will be a living hell if he instantly legalizes 6 million illegals at the end of this summer 2014 WITH A STROKE OF HIS PEN when America is shouting over and over "NO! NO!NO!"

I think we will see what we have seen for the last 30 years.....nothing. The American people are being slow-walked out of their own nation & are afraid to say anything lest they be called racists. So they would rather be replaced and fade into that good night. Newt’s wrong about this, but he was right in 2012 when he said electing Mitt would only be electing someone to manage the decline.

Newt did nothing of value with the historic 1994 victory....that was the last practical chance to fix this mess.

I guess we can refer to the illegal aliens as the replacements.

When we get sent to the re-education camps for thinking bad thoughts, they can move right in our homes.

Or, government paychecks and pension checks and subsidies or SNAP cards and ...

I have gotten to the point where I loathe anyone who gets my tax dollars in the form of a "paycheck".

“I think there are different reasons why people remain committed to the Democrat party.”

The number one reason some people remain committed to the Democrat party is their hatred of conservatives. They can not stand someone else being morally/ethically superior to them or someone else trying to tell them what to do. It’s the worse kind of an insult to a liberal.
