Mark Levin on 2016: GOP Must Nominate Conservative for First Time Since Ronald Reagan
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | September 27, 2014 | Tony Lee

Posted on 09/27/2014 4:32:37 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Conservative scholar and talk radio host Mark Levin said the GOP is "a party in trouble" that must nominate a bold conservative for president in 2016 if they do not want to get walloped yet again.

Speaking at Values Voter Summit on Saturday with Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, Levin, who is cementing himself as the intellectual godfather for conservatives in the age of Obama, said moderate candidates favored by the establishment and stand for nothing will never appeal to Americans who are hungry for leadership.

"It's very, very, important that we nominate a conservative for the first time since Ronald Reagan," Levin said. "There are people under 50-years-old who have never had an opportunity to vote for a conservative president. We want to show them what it's like. It's our generation's responsibility."

Levin said "it's invigorating, energizing" and "almost spiritual to get behind somebody with enthusiasm and excitement. To go door-to-door. That's how you win elections."(continued)

The media has already decided who will be the nominee. Someone who will lose of course to HillBilly.

Although the best candidate by far, Cruz will be vilified. An all out effort to destroy him wil be in full effect after November. Just watch.

Pathetic really.

Levin is just as likely, to support Sarah Palin.

Just saying...

Well Mark, It doesn’t encourage the GOP to follow your advice when they nominate leftists and you go along for the ride every election. If people would have stood their ground last time, this time might be different.

So, W H E N the GOP nominates another leftist in the coming election process, are you gonna do the John Kerry thing and be for him whereas you are no against him...AGAIN?

Or are you gonna man up and put your politics where your mouth currently is?

Democrats, RINOs and the media will not allow a Ted Cruz. They will fabricate whatever lies are necessary to turn people against him. Look what they did to Sarah Palin. They’ll do worse to Cruz.

Don’t need the media to do it. Plenty of PDS and TDS running wild right here on FR that does the job for them.

I’ve seen no sign that she intends to run for any office in the near future.

Who could blame her considering how many in her supposed natural constituency turned on her as they did? Her ideas didn’t matter. Her voice did, the opinions of the media did...lots of things mattered so much more to those staunch rock ribbed conservative patriots.

And they got what they deserved. Hope they enjoy it.

The race doesn’t even start until after the mid-terms are settled.

I’ll tell you what. If Palin doesn’t run in 2016, I’ll stop supporting her.

How about that?

It is a long way until the next Presidential run.

I’d give a Palin candidacy a better than 50% chance, but that is just my own view.

The left seems (very) focused on destroying Palin’s chances right now, before she’s running for President mode.

Just hang in there people.

I admit to being a complete partisan about Palin, but I believe she’s saying the right things, and doing what she should be doing right now.

I will work to support her right here on FR.

Support Ted Cruz, but don’t turn on Palin.

I know, but it still needs to be said. Plenty of people don’t seem to have figured it out yet.

I didn’t figure you did.

There seems a huge “discourage Palin and discourage people about Palin’s prospects” effort on right now, among both parties.

Especially the left. But also on the right.

All I am saying is keep her near the top of our list of prospects. Everyone just keep Palin actively on your list of who you are considering.

Consider everyone. Fight for who you support, but don’t tear down Palin.

That is my point.

Good posts by the way. I support your posts very much, don’t get me wrong.

I just think we are being manipulated a bit, by the leftist media.

I am pushing back, in my own microscopic way.

Keep up the good work.

The manipulation is real enough but it is coming from the supposed right.

The pattern plays out every year.

Base demands a conservative.

People within that base say it’s too early to worry about and direct attention elsewhere.

GOP starts making noises about several libs they trial baloon for the upcoming election

Base says no way

People within that base begin to pave the way for acceptance of RINO/Leftist because ‘the dem is worse”

Base says never again

People within that base go on a full tilt campaign to Alynski any potential conservative candidate because we need to win ‘this time’ or the world ends” and besides, if people wanted a conservative they should have fought for one in the first place. Too late now!

Which tales us back to the beginning...where people did...and were fought tooth and nail.

So where is this manipulation REALLY coming from?

He can take care of himself. He won’t lie there like Romney and allow the attempts at vilification to stand.

It’s Cruz for me, all the way.
