---snip---

Ready to Defend Hillary: As the Hillary Clinton email controversy exploded, Capitol Hill Democrats were caught flat-footed, and either begged off or feigned ignorance when reporters asked about it. Now that more of a narrative has developed, top Dems are defending her, even if they don’t know exactly why the whole thing blew up in the first place – or why Clinton decided to go outside the government to set up her own email system. But no one thinks the scandal will disrupt Clinton’s inevitable, unstoppable, so-far uncontested march toward deciding if she wants to be the Democrats’ 2016 presidential nomination.

Pass on the Right: Clinton’s email headache has put the spotlight on a couple other Republican presidential aspirants who’ve done the same thing: Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who uses a home server for both official and private email, and Jeb Bush, who was governor of Florida when he routed some public business through his personal email – and still does. But their stories have barely raised a ripple compared to the tidal wave of coverage Clinton has received....

That may be, but is it ILLEGAL for them to be doing that?

I don’t think Walker and Bush are held to the same standard.

Neither works at the White House or in Congress and therefore neither is subject to the same rules as Hillary

Weird article, Hillary was SOS and her information sent between world leaders is important. So she deliberately hid the information from the People of the United States, during a time of war. People used to hung for offenses like this years ago

Uh, maybe because it wasn’t illegal for them to do that?

Unlike Hillary.

i can’t believe they are comparing Governors to the Secretary of State. I mean come on....who do you think has more confidential information in their e-mails? How dumb that they went after the Governors on this issue.

While this allegation against Walker has been investigated and found without merit multiple times, ignorant FReepers continue to repost these liberal attempts to save Hillary.

Many of you Cruz supporters help Jeb and Hillary more than you help Cruz.

It is very telling.

As others have said, federal law didn't prohibit them from doing so and they didn't risk a breach of highly classified national security information.

You Walkerites are the thinnest skinned people since the Paulestinians. I didn’t post this to hurt Jebbie or Scott, Einstein.

Seems like those are issues between Walker/Bush and the states of Wisconsin and Florida. If my kid’s 2nd grade teacher is using a personal email account for official school business that too is not a federal issue.

The standard Clinton evasion sequence. Apply each step if the previous step fails.

The important question is: was there a violation of the law in those cases? The answer appears to be no.

Wow, didn’t realize that the private emails of a governor are as or more sensitive in nature to the security of our country than those of a Secretary of State.

Hey, Folks. I don’t want Hillary to go down just yet. Let this thing smolder, but please don’t take her off the ballot. We need to run against her.

That nut Lanny Davis was on with Meghan Kelly last night chastising her for not covering Bush using private emails. I don’t think the old Clinton playbook is going to work anymore. She’s toast.
