Whatever happened to just staying neutral when it comes to having to choose between 2 candidates in your own Party?
The indictment Perry is under now, is abuse of power. “Grand jurors in Travis County charged Mr. Perry with abusing his official capacity and coercing a public servant, according to Michael McCrum, the special prosecutor assigned to the case.”
Texas doesn't have a limit on the terms of office of a governor. Perhaps we need to limit the number of terms one can be governor.
Perry was overall, a decent governor in that he was more of a conservative, most of the time, than a liberal.
Our present governor, Greg Abbott, is a true conservative all the time. He will likely be the best governor Texas has ever had.
If this is the same case I heard of, it is a ridiculous hyped up hypocritical case that doesn’t belong in the lap of my worst enemy let alone Perry. Why cite it.
I just see a difference between loyalty and a pledge of support given early in a race from stubbornly sticking with a good ol’ boy when there was a free choice. A man’s word has to mean something.
That’s just my opinion.
