The results are in at the Values Voter Summit -- and, for once, Donald Trump fails to top a conservative poll.

The straw poll at the summit, a conservative gathering hosted by the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C., showed Texas Sen. Ted Cruz winning over voters, leading the pack for the third year in a row.

Cruz, with 35 percent of support, was followed by neurosurgeon-turned-politician Ben Carson, with 18 percent of the vote. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee came in third, drawing 14 percent of supporters, followed by Florida Sen. Marco Rubio at 13 percent.

Registering at fifth place on the survey results: Donald Trump, the GOP front-runner in many state and national polls.

The religious conservatives in attendance simply weren't buying what Trump had to offer....

Yeah...but any poll that has Huckabee doing that well probably isn’t very representative of Republican and Republican-leaning independents as a whole.

It’s not a poll, except of convention delegates.

Just saying.

SeeBS and Reena Flores. Not much credibility there. The so called “pope” caused a miracle to occur at my house to. No, I didn’t find his picture on a piece of toast. He caused me to throw my support over to Donald Trump. When the “pope” became a leftwing, U.S. politician, I realized that our country is in deeper kimchi than I thought. I’m sick of politicians. If I was running this joint, every one of them would be locked up.

So the ‘religious conservatives’ are going to hold out for someone who will not be the Republican nominee, and then they will stay home and not vote in the general election. The country will then be so far left that there will be no more ‘religion’ and what religious conservative hope to stop, such as abortion, will get far worse. Seen this movie before and it doesn’t have a good ending.

It’s adorable that CBS had time to actually care about this, when in years past they would have spent today on click-bait story about a cat.

So Cruz is number 1, and jebtard! is nowhere to be seen? I have no problem with this poll. I don’t know what See BS is crowing about. Their uniparty candidate has already swirled the drain and his joyful turtle-shelled ass is caroming off the pipes on the way to the sewer.

If you're talking about Cruz, I think he can win the whole thing.

They polled late night infomercial watchers?

As will the ‘religiously conservative FR conservatives’ ... no one and nothing is good enough - perfection or no vote! All Hail HC! Twice before it was ‘All Hail Obama!’

No way will the GOP let Cruz win, he doesn’t have enough support to fight the GOP, and no way in heck will he win the general election. The party bosses can’t stand Cruz and shut him down in the Senate. Cruz supporters better hope and pray Trump wins because if he doesn’t, Cruz political career is over.

Yep and for their righteous effort, we got same sex marriage, more abortions, cutting up babies for parts, bakers thrown in jail, and a whole lot more Muslims in our country who truly don’t like Christians. Dumb.

We just disagree about that. I think Cruz has purposely been cutting a shallow figure and letting Trump catch all the arrows that would have been aimed at Cruz. Cruz seems very smart to me, but we’ll see.

Oh nooees! the "irreligious conservatives" are going to have an aneurysm over this. Yes, we're going to make you go to church on Sundays (Saturdays if you're jewish), and make you love your wife and care for your children. If you don't you will have to do regular push ups as penance.

Plus booze and cigs will be limited to one a day. All men will be required to wear burqas too. Coz you know men should really wear burqas.
