Don’t let Carson and Fiorina fool you, they are amnesty candidates, too

Once the msm uses the term ‘ugly’, their options are starting to run dry.

BTW, I notice they feel obligated to include Fiorina when they discuss serious GOP candidates; omitting Ted Cruz for example. It only illustrates their desperation to prop up a leftist woman, regardless of how incompetent.

It’s annoying how they keep trying to throw Fiorina in there. She’s as GOPe as it gets.

“If you call this ‘ugly’, I can’t wait to see what you call the “Bring Back HUAC” desires your libs have spawned in a lot of Americans.

You can call it whatever you like, but once it hits it’s stride, you’ll be doing it from inside a cage with the rest of the animals at the NYT. And none of us will have the least bit of pity for you.

It would be ugly if everything were going fine. Everything is not going fine, though. Deficits, debts, entitlement spending, surrendering to dictators, dictator president. These are problems that are not being addressed, so it’s not ugly. It’s necessary. It sure would be nice if the Press looked stone faced into the camera and said, “Entitlement spending at current levels will bring this country down if not seriously addressed, rather than, “Donald Trump’s support comes from the crazies.”

They just don't listen, the writers, the media, the talking heads will say and do whatever they want...

This is a ‘rebellion’ against the ‘same old, same old’ and they are going to get wiped out...this ‘rebellion’ is growing....

We don't want a Bush, Clinton, Carly, Walker, Santorum, Christie, or anyone else..WE WANT TRUMP!!!

Ugly? Guess everything is defined in the mind of the observer. I haven’t see anything more politically BEAUTIFUL since Reagan. Screw the NYT’s...they wouldn’t know a beautiful sunrise if the saw it. The Republican “revolt” is more like a sunrise giving, finally, light to the darkness.

There’s mess along the way — brief tantrums by restive voters, fleeting triumphs by renegade candidates — but order and obeisance in the end.

Insufficient obeisance...it appears the vulgarians are forgetting their place.

Cruz is more like Trump, outrageous and unyielding, than like the governors. And in a radio interview on Thursday, he predicted that he’d inherit Trump’s supporters because he’d “stood up to Washington” and “taken on leaders” of his own party.

This theme is showing up more and more.

The ugly has only begun. Either there’s a big revolution in the GOP or Democrats win a big victory. Both will be ugly.

They just keep trying to throw Carly in there. Sorry, but she is not our choice and call her that doesn’t make it so.

Someone like Ted Cruz.

“He’s perfectly positioned himself to own that space when Trump and Carson disappear,” said a Republican operative who is among the smartest analysts I know. “He’ll be a force to be reckoned with. I think that he has a very clear path to the nomination, as much as that horrifies me.”

You're horrified that Ted Cruz might actually win? Trump hasn't crashed...yet, and he may very well. Alternatively, he may go all the way and make Sen. Cruz VP.

This navel gazing prognosticating is mildly entertaining, but is growing stale. Trump is holding his own, and so is Carson. Cruz has maintained his position, and strengthened his ground organization. These candidates are the top tier this time. Try as they might, the drive-by mediots are unlikely to affect any change to that order. The voters will do that. The fundamental problem is that many of the primiaries are open, meaning that democRATS will vote for the Republican candidate who is weakest to the conservative base.

“Is this the election cycle when that changes?

The twilight of the Republican elite?”

This movement will require multiple election cycles to come to fruition. It has barely begun. Ousting entrenched corrupt politicians is very difficult. We’ve hung a few heads on the wall but there are many more to go.

Aside from the bomb thrower and ugly comments this was a surprisingly good summary. No other source I've seen lately has even admitted that the unrest began with the GOP long, long, list of "good old boy (liberals who can't be elected)" candidates and "successful good old boys (liberals who did get elected)". Thanks for that that.

As to FR's comments on the article - Trump has been an asset and may be the candidate but the cheer leading here on FR reminds me a lot of the Hope and Change fever the other side featured last time around.
