It is a bunch of cr*p to say that Hillary would beat Trump.
Not only would Donald Trump beat Hillary like a drum, but most importantly, Trump would also absolutely DESTROY the GOPe.
And what is stranger is our candidate's election process. I don't know how the E-GOP changes it, and frankly it may be another reason we leave after the divorce they have given us. We need the following reforms, but I am a realist and know I won't see them in my life time.
* Rotate the States order via lottery
* Proportional in all States not winner take all
* All States allow only (R) voters to vote, and they must have been so for X number of days, to be decided upon, 30, 60, 90 etc.
I would love to see with a lottery a State like Idaho, Alaska, or maybe North Dakota, go 1st, so the liberal media could freeze their cookies off...
THE TANGIBLE IMPACT OF A TRUMP WIN (hat tip jamaskin):
<><> an absolute "reset" of the bloated Federal government;
<><> decades of inbred Washington dysfunction totally destroyed;
<><> needless Congressional staffs set adrift;
<><> the entire K-street crowd, and that ilk, decimated;
<><> the power of policy wonks like McConnell, Ryan......gone.
<><> PC decimated.
Close .. but he actually has the ability to remember every word that is spoken (sorry, don’t remember what it’s called) .. which would account for his success in debating people (Hillary won’t know what hit her).
Secondly, he showed that skill in the first debate when he rattled off all the previous questions to the others on the stage .. and I remember the stunned looks on the faces of the hosts .. when they fully understood why Cruz was such a good debater.

It’ll be interesting to see what Trump has planned for the ground game in Iowa after the holidays. From the description people give, it can’t just be rock-concert style rallies.
I agree, Cruz does not have nearly the draw Trump has. Cruz is a good guy and I will readily vote for him if he were to win the primary, but Trump has charisma. Trump can break the back of the GOPe. Cruz has done several questionable votes and he has not really moved the ball in our direction in the senate. Trump is a true patriot, warts and all. If he wins, I have no doubt he will move the football far into enemy territory.
And you’re basing that surety on....what exactly? Wishing it so does not make it so. Take a day or two off from the trump koolaid, let your system purge that vile poison and maybe you’ll see things a tad more logically...and realistically.
{I agree, Hillary does not have nearly the draw Obama has. Hillary is a good person and I will readily vote for her if she were to win the primary, but Obama has charisma. Fixed it! Couple name changes and the cult of personality still fits!
Not according to this FEC document he doesn't. Pre-nomination Campagin Cash Disbursements.
I am going to put this out there again. Iowa is and always
has been an irrelevancy in electoral politics.

History says Iowa will vote for the democrat come Nov. 2016. They have
voted for the democrat 6 out of the last 7 presidential elections.
They have a mixed bag in relationship to the GOP nomination also.
Cruz should never had any competition there if in fact he does have any.
Trump draws crowds but does that equate to caucus votes? We’ll see.
Why of course! Trump’s campaign manager pulled two very weak candidates to victory in 2008 and 2012. He has drawn BIG crowds in Iowa. He is ahead in the pulls. Yes that includes the Register poll when offset by the CNN poll. Trump has at least two captains in every precinct in Iowa. Trump has at least 40 votes lined up in every precinct in Iowa. Trump is the only candidate reported to have classes in how to co-ordinate Caucus voters given by the man who knows how to win them. Trump can afford to practically move to Iowa because he is so far ahead in New Hampshire and South Carolina. Trump can force Cruz into a spending decision he can’t afford to be wrong on: Spend it all to win Iowa which has proved to be a dead end for previous Republican candidates or risk not winning Iowa to have money for New Hampshire and South Carolina.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess you've never been to an Iowa precinct caucus.
I think you Trump fans have misinterpreted charisma for what the Jews call Chutzpah.
Big difference. Having a loose canon who may revert to his liberal past is a big concern to me.
Its funny how people think Trump is a liberal but they ignore the TPP, Iran deal and massive H1B expansion that Cruz has supported. Nobody will question Cruz because he is such a great speaker and sounds ultra conservative. Talk about cult of personality!
Iowa is indeed an odd bird.
A bit more conservative than lots of other political regions. But the mechanics of the “caucus” require an in-place machine. A “Conservative Machine”? No other political region has the same dynamic.
The Iowa Conservative Machine is older and grayer than the body politic at-large.
Older folks watch/listen/follow legacy media.
Young folks look elsewhere.
Trump may be successful in IA, and then NH, but more than likely finishing 2 or 3.
This won’t drag on too much more. Few candidates have filed paperwork and paid fees. It’s more of a pissing contest than serious campaigning. Afterall, Miss Lindsey is still hanging around.
Someone should tell her that it’s past closing time. She didn’t “get lucky” this time.
You can’t have it both ways. Either Iowa is irrelevant, in which case a Trump win is also irrelevant. On the other hand, if the primaries will be over quickly if Trump wins, then Iowa must be so relevant that it’s a game-changer.
Which is it, irrelevant or determinative?

Santorum won Iowa last time then finished fourth in NH, third in SC, third in FL...
Iowa is not important.
If Trump wins there, the primaries will be over quickly.
If he loses, weâll have a drawn out contest but in the end heâll still win.
Keep in mind that most states in the south award delegates proportionally and most states in the northeast are winner takes all.
thatâs great but Cruz does not have a quality of leadership.. nobody is going to follow him across the street to to vote for him ,, especially Blue Dog Democrats// sorry.. Trump will get tens of millions
*******************************************************
There are very few blue dog democrats left and Trump has so thoroughly alienated a substantial portion of the uncommitted voters that Trump will be lucky to get the scrapings from Clinton’s table if he ends up being the GOP nominee.
totally wrong. Trump has a very serious well organized ground game in Iowa. He plans ahead and plans well, he gets good people who work hard, and he aims to win.
