The two key ingredients to winning a primary are voter enthusiasm and a get-out-the-vote operation. In a caucus, the organization is even more important. You have to identify people in advance who will agree to go to caucuses, which is much, much more involved and time-consuming than simply voting. It can be a process that goes on for some time, and only committed caucus-goers will go in for that. That's why to be serious, you need an organization in every district and committed people you know by name who are going to show up.
Ted Cruz has that in Iowa. Donald Trump does not.
Mr. Trump's Iowa director predicted that he would recruit a leader for each of the state's 1,681 Republican precincts by Thanksgiving. Instead, the first major training session for precinct leaders, heavily promoted in emails and conference calls, drew only about 80 people to West Des Moines last weekend, with about 50 participating online....

Santorum won Iowa last time then finished fourth in NH, third in SC, third in FL...
Iowa is not important.
If Trump wins there, the primaries will be over quickly.
If he loses, we’ll have a drawn out contest but in the end he’ll still win.
Keep in mind that most states in the south award delegates proportionally and most states in the northeast are winner takes all.
Sweater Vest didn’t have $100 million dollars in the bank. Ted Cruz does.
Ted is also mighty smart about the mechanics of all this.
He has a photographic memory, I believe.
He has a photographic memory, I believe.
I’m on your team. Go Cruz.
Trump’s air campaign vs. Cruz’s ground game? In politics, as in war, gotta have air supremacy and overwhelming ground forces to demoralize the enemy, achieve victory, and cause surrender. Will be interesting to see who has the winning combination in IA, NH, SC, and beyond.
They also have a terrible record of picking the nominee in contested races.Particularly for Republicans.
Audiometric (or whatever it is called.) Whatever he HEARS he remembers.
There is a good video done on Cruz’s past at the following link. Father and Aunt coming from Cuba and relishing America’s freedom, how his cousin and him would play after hearing the stories, and he would be the “freedom fighter”. High school Constitution club - with 60 speeches before he graduated regarding the Constitution and free market, etc.

Cruz has an audiographic memory.
Hot chicks in purple wigs and mini-skirts, fighting UFOs from a base on the moon, he’s livin’ large.
that’s great but Cruz does not have a quality of leadership.. nobody is going to follow him across the street to to vote for him ,, especially Blue Dog Democrats// sorry.. Trump will get tens of millions
I like Cruz....Trump has many advantages in the general...over Cruz....
.
That latest poll that has Trump ahead of Cruz had some other data, it had head to head Hillary vs Trump ... and had Hillary tearing Trump a new one... It also had Hillary vs Cruz and they were neck and neck. Trump is loved by a lot on the right, but he is hated by more overall. 49% thought that Hillary would beat Trump and only 38% thought Trump would win vs the Hildabeast.

One of the interesting stories is the PPD poll released the same day as the Fox news poll on 12-17-15 also has Trump over Cruz by about the same margin... 34% to 18%.
Yet question 24 asked "Who would you support if it came down to just Ted Cruz and Donald Trump... Trump 45% Cruz 44% and Unsure 11%. Yep a virtual tie...

I’ve said all along Trump will lose Iowa, and it will mean nothing.
Reagan lost the Iowa caucus in 1980 to GHW Bush, and we all know how THAT election turned out.
Trump has a 21 point lead as of the 19th nationally on Fox. Yes, Trump had 39 to 18 according to O’Reilly. I am no fan of O’s. Iowa is a strange state.
True.
