As long as no federal dollars are involved, there is nothing to stop a given state from exercising its 10th Amendment-protected state powers to give illegal aliens in-state tuition imo. But doing so ultimately depends on the ”threshold of wallet pain” of a given states taxpaying voters.

M. Rubio is not just for amnesty, he wants the illegal aliens to get breaks not available to tax payers.

What is with Rubio's licking his lips? Just saw him on TV and once again he was constantly licking his lips.

Sounds like Rubio wasn’t ready for the question and fell back on some older talking points.

This will STING...he’s looking more and more like Scott Walker every day.

"...you had to live in the U.S. a long time, you had to graduate from a Florida high school."

Squatter's rights? Adverse possession? By illegal aliens?

And then you're given them tuition breaks, in-state tuition?

What a genius! I never would have thought of that!

That's sure to fix whatever's broken.

One question McRube: as a senator, who are your constituents—citizens of the state of Florida or illegal aliens?

“co-sponsored legislation to provide in-state tuition for undocumented immigrants.”

That should be illegal. Isn’t it contributing to criminal activity? Aiding and abetting a known criminal?

From:
http://criminal.findlaw.com/criminal-charges/aiding-and-abetting-accessory.html

A criminal charge of aiding and abetting or accessory can usually be brought against anyone who helps in the commission of a crime, though legal distinctions vary by state. A person charged with aiding and abetting or accessory is usually not present when the crime itself is committed, but he or she has knowledge of the crime before or after the fact, and may assist in its commission through advice, actions, or financial support. Depending on the degree of involvement, the offender’s participation in the crime may rise to the level of conspiracy.

For example, Andy draws a floor plan of a bank, knowing of Dan’s intention to rob it. After Dan commits the robbery, Alice agrees to let him store the stolen money at her house. Both Andy and Alice can be charged with aiding and abetting, or acting as accessories to the robbery.

Interesting. According to Rubio, an illegal Mexican should pay less tuition in Texas than an American from New Mexico would. An illegal Haitian in Florida would pay less tuition than a legal citizen of Georgia would. This is one of many areas in which Rubio is completely out of touch with decent people and with decent values.
