“The only reason the guy has a platform is because his wife works for Trump.
Not really. He’s been well known and well regarded in conservative legal circles since back in the Clinton/Paula Jones days”

Conservative?
Maybe conservative like McCain, McFlake and McRomney are....fake conservatives. Trump has shown to be more conservative than McConway and the other Mc’s all put together. Guy’s no conservative.

Absolutely! Do not trust him as far as I can throw myself.

And that’s not far at all!

I am thinking the same about George Conway. Here is a guy that is affected by narcissism. He cannot have a wife that takes away his glory. So, he connives to take away his wife’s glory by undermining her boss. Fortunately, Trump sees through his malevolence. He knows exactly what he is doing.

It’s his wife’s employer, and he’s using her position to undermine both her and POTUS. That’s the point. Do you think anyone would give a damn what George Conway thinks about Trump if his wife didn’t work for him? It would be one thing if he had been active in politics before hand and had a history of public commentary on such topics. He’s using his wife’s very position in the Trump administration to undermine her and POTUS. Pretty ironic, to say the least.

This marriage will likely dissolve by fall of 2020....if Trump runs again. I don’t think George has much stamina left.

I would love to take old George’s place and marry Kellanne. However, she is a Fitzpatrick and might be my cousin. You can imagine what the Left would say about us inbreeds.

I like Brad. He has balls. Conway’s husband has dementia.

This is a political job. Conway serves at the discretion of the President. There comes a time when Trump must weigh whether her husband is more of a liability than Kelly Ann’s services as a WH adviser. Public perceptions matter.

If she were my employee, I would have some questions about her loyalty and trustworthiness. Why does her husband repeatedly attack me personally as well as professionally? What informs his opinions? Is Kelly Ann sharing her work experiences with her husband? Does she share her husband’s views? What are the public’s perceptions of her husband’s attacks on me? Do these attacks help my opponents or undercut Kelly Ann’s operational effectiveness? Is she so valuable that I need to put up with this soap opera?

I can’t see Trump putting up with this much longer. If Kelly Ann can’t convince her husband to stop these public attacks against her boss that threaten her employment, then she must suffer the consequences. Her husband is an unnecessary distraction and feed the narrative that Trump must be removed from office.

“In my opinion he’s got every right to tweet his opinions.”

Nobody’s talking about his right to tweet his opinions. Of course he’s got a right to tweet them. We’re talking about his character and what a low life he is. If you think his lame, poorly articulated ad hominem tweets against Trump are based on genuine political conviction, you’re kidding yourself. He’s doing it to undermine his wife, not to make a political point. If you don’t believe that, you’re kidding yourself. But, you’re right, at the end of the day, he has the right to be an A-hole.

The only way Trump can punish the abuser is to fire his wife. The Conways’ odd marital relationship should not be Trump’s problem. Her husband has become a liability and embarrassment.

Would your boss react if your wife attacked him publicly both personally and professionally on a regular basis? Mind you, the personal attacks are vile and vicious. Would you defend your wife’s freedom of speech if your boss asked you to curb her public attacks?

I’m only addressing the issue of Free Speech.

It’s a very narrow road leading into Controlled Speech and can be so inviting at times.

There were other side issues which I addressed as well.

If you were her boss/CEO, it would be your option. You would make your decision based on your value system and I would assume it would have been discussed with your employee on an on-going basis.

You would be within your legal right to discharge her from your services if she did not meet the requirements set forth upon hiring her. As a public figure I believe there would be a variant of goals required to meet and that would be the basis.

Good question. Maybe she secretly approves of what he is doing and shares his opinions of Trump. She did work for the Cruz campaign that got pretty vicious.

[In my opinion he’s got every right to tweet his opinions.]

Anyone has the right to sabotage his spouse’s career as long as he’s not breaking any laws. The question is whether it is ethical for him to do so.

Free speech is not unfettered if you work for the President or a private company for that matter. What you say has consequences. If you publicly attack the boss, you must expect consequences. It is common sense.

You are making this into some sort of HR exercise where the employer must lay out the conditions of employment and counsel the employee on violations. If there is no explicit violation, then you can ‘t fire the employee for cause.

This is not the case here. Conway serves at the discretion of the President. He can fire her for any or no reason. There is no appeal or union involvement.

George Conway tweet:

An important point. Even before today, a large portion of the people who tell pollsters they “approve” of Trump only do so “somewhat.” They know he’s an incompetent fool. Even some of the die-harders will quietly concede it—but he’s the only incompetent fool they have.

George Conway added,

Erick Erickson

Verified account @EWErickson

I’ve been writing for weeks that if Trump caved without a border wall, he’d be giving Pelosi a win and conceding defeat. He’ll look weak to his base. The public vote of confidence from supporters right now is not necessarily their private sentiment.

If my husband had zero respect for me I’d kick him to the curb.
