Sources: Democrats fundraise off Trump campaign story (Oregon)

Last week's report by CNN and The Hill that President Donald Trump's campaign is considering spending money in Oregon sparked two predictable responses — disbelief that any Republican would consider campaigning for a national office in such a Democratic state and a flurry of fundraising appeals by Democrats trying to cash in on the news.

Among others, the Democratic Party of Oregon sent out a fundraising email on June 11 saying, "Trump's already laying the groundwork to pull off a big upset here in Oregon in 2020 — but together, we can make sure he doesn't come close. Make a donation to help make sure Oregon stays blue in 2020."

"Blue" is the term for Democratic Party politics; "red" represents Republicans.

Not to be outdone, Democratic Oregon U.S. Sen. Jeff Merkley posted a fundraising plea on his campaign website saying, "The Hill reports that Team Trump is weighing staffing up here, to 'expand the map' so Republicans can win in 2020. I'm going to need your grassroots support to fight back."

The Big Bad Orange Man is coming to Oregon!!!!

Send me your money or we’re all DOOMED.

This could have a unplanned consequences to the Democrat’s hope of defeating Trump in 2020.

These Oregon Democrats that send their money to Oregon Democrats that don’t really need it might have sent that money to Democrat candidates in other states that really do need it or to the Democrat’s Presidential candidate.

President Trump may not win Oregon outright, but he will campaign there to increase the republican turnout. If he wins the national vote, he will win Oregon’s electoral votes.

He’s our energizer bunny.

He’ll just continue to campaign everywhere.

Promises made, promises kept.

Laying out the corruption being exposed all along the way.

And he’ll continue to play laser pointer with the Corrupt Coup Media Cats.

;-)

the democrat party fundraising machine is just a big funnel to the DNC.

They will take that money and spread it around regardless of where it comes from.

It’s a very smart plan, it should also help down ballet as well.

he hasn’t even gone there, and the rats are scurrying around spending money.

Trump is the U.S. Grant of politicians. Attack, attack, attack, What made Grant the best Union general was his aggressive style. This was the exact opposite of General McClellan who was cautious to the point of inaction.

“The art of war is simple enough. Find out where your enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike at him as hard as you can and as often as you can, and keep moving on.”
- U.S. Grant
