FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) The Latest on the special election for a North Carolina congressional seat (all times local):
North Carolina Republicans claim election officials in one county provided the wrong address for a voting precinct ahead of a hotly contested special congressional election.
But state election officials say voters were notified of the address change weeks ago.
Polls opened Tuesday for the special election in the Ninth Congressional District. Democrat Dan McCready is in a tossup battle against conservative state Sen. Dan Bishop for a vacant seat.

It was the Russians all over again...!
So sorry, I guess the Democrats better get used to what’s good for the gander.
It’s the GOP that’s complaining.
Guess we have no right to complain...
“You want to complain! Look at these shoes. I’ve only had them three weeks and the heels are worn right through.”
“Oh my back hurts, it’s not a very fine day and I’m sick and tired of this office.”
Not to worry. All the necessary already marked ballots will be brought to the polling places by unmarked chevy (with nodding dog on back ledge) as soon as DNC officials know where and how many are needed.
I too am not optimistic about NC, post-Helms.
The Dem county clerk in my county pulled this several times, especially in 2012. Kept moving the polling place to somewhere ten miles away from the usual location. A lot of people didn’t notice the change until they got to the expected location.
Jail time for anyone caught pulling shenanigans.
Wouldn’t it be fun if the Republicans win anyway.
Called for Bishop.
I guess President Trump still has the horsepower to influence elections. Maybe they have another “Access Hollywood” bombshell to drop on him. Problem is, it didn’t work in 2016. Voters know Trump was a rich playboy. It’s baked into the cake.
